Unloading all steelbooks...

I'm looking to sell off my entire steelbook collection. I'm looking on ebay/amazon/half.com to get an idea of what I should price them for the prices vary so much I dont know how much to list them for. Is there a site that lists the value of them?

What better place than eBay or half.com? You get an up-to-the-minute pulse of where the market is on that item.

If they are DVDs, don't expect to get as much for them, as many have been superseded by Blu-rays, and have declined in value precipitously.

You'd probably do just as well selling them here. I'd be interested in seeing what you have for sale.

You can search on ebay for completed listings and see what some of the titles you mentioned have sold for previously. This should help you set a price.

Sorry...your OP made it sound like you've seen them offered for various prices, whereas I was suggesting you see what some have actually sold for. I would think you'd find a more defined price range that way.

If you truly are trying to sell them all at one time, it's going to be nearly impossible to get ''top dollar" for them. Most collectors likely own some of the titles mentioned and won't bother with purchasing an entire lot just for the sake of titles they're interested in.

So to answer your question, I'd take the lowest price available for each of 'em and go even lower with your asking price.

Re: Unloading all steelbooks...

Take a look at Hannibal on Amazon marketplace. Go to "used" tab, there are 10 sellers with different priced between $3.95 and $17.51. Your price should be somewhere between that range. To do this, add the total price of all 10 ($88.57) and divide it by 10, your price should be the average total ($8.86). If that doesn't sell just drop by 1% ($8.77) and so on...
