I'm interested in a few of those, but your prices are too high. A lot of those can be bought off of eBay, shipping included for less. Plus Deep Discount has that sale going on that bumps a lot of titles down past your asking price.

TonsOfMovies 06-04-07 08:28 PM

Did not think about the Deepdiscount 20% off sale affecting my DVDs from selling. Which titles are you interested in and at what prices. Keep in mind my titles ship First Class Mail and Deepdsicount will ship using Media Mail.

DrAndonuts 06-04-07 08:39 PM

Lucky Number Slevin is one I've wanted. Happy Feet and the Departed, possibly. How did you like The Good Shepherd? I've heard mixed things. I might want that one too.

TonsOfMovies 06-04-07 08:55 PM

I actually started watching the Good sheppherd and I fell asleep during it. I do plan to attempt to watch it again some night that I am not so tired. I like Dramas but that particular movie bounced around a lot with the plot. The best pricing I can do is

First Class Mail:
1 title = $21
2 titles = $41
3 titles = $61
4 titles = $81 (4 titles will have to ship Priority but I will pay the extra shipping charges)

Media Mail:
2 titles = $40.50
3 titles = $60.00
4 titles = $78.75

I realy can not give much a of a break on the titles you selected because they all have retail values of around $25-$28. Please let me know if you decide you want any of these.

Wow the sky is high for these. Hard to sell when most can be found on Amazon or other places first class mail for alot less.

But BUMP for some good stuff.

gimmepilotwings 06-07-07 10:06 AM

I am interested in some of the titles, but almost everyone of them can be found cheaper online, brand new with first class shipping.

While I agree that his prices are high, to be fair, these are also brand new with first class shipping.

That said, he needs to knock off about 30% if he wants to sell any of these.

TonsOfMovies 06-07-07 12:40 PM

Yeah I am aware I am not going to sell any of these with the current online sales. Once all of the sales end I might stand a chance in selling some of them.

Bill Geiger 06-07-07 01:01 PM

Honestly, you might be better off ebaying them. I say that because they will pay $20 for most HD DVDS. We really should tell you how to sell and price your items, that is your business. But, you should check out amazon.com among others before pricing.

TonsOfMovies 06-07-07 02:43 PM

I checked Amazon and for most of the titles I thought I was running a few dollars cheaper than them but I must be wrong. I hate fooling with eBay and all of their fees but I think you might be right.

dat 06-07-07 06:42 PM

yeah well we are not trying to scam ya or whatnot It's just if the titles were released on 6.5.2007 for $21 we would buy a few. Here is what I offer for each some might pay more but If you want to sell for this price I'll buy some.. ( only did titles I would want first :) )

Serenity $16
Batman Begins $16
Unforgiven $14
Full metal Jacket $14-$16
V For Vendetta $16-$18
Children of Men $16-$18
Scanner Darkly $16
Goodfellas $14
Good sheppherd $16
Dreamgirls $18
Italian Job $16

Bourne Supremacy $15
Superman Returns $14
Miami Vice $14
Happy Feet $16-$18
MI3 $14-16
Babel $14
The Departed $16
Nacho Libre $14
Constantine $14
King Kong $14
Babel $15
March of Penquins $16
Lucky Number slevin $16

Your prices are too low for brand new DVDs. Your prices seem reasonable if my DVDs were used but they are brand new and still factory sealed.

For some reason I never receive the emails other people send me on here. What did your email say or provide me with your email address so I can email you.

IMO you'd do better to individually price these discs. For instance, if I wanted to buy Batman Begins and Serenity from you, I'd be paying you more than I would if I bought them from Amazon.com, and that's WITHOUT a sale going on.

But if I wanted Superman Returns and Miami Vice, I'd be getting a fairly good deal from you versus onlone sites. There are a few I would buy if your prices fluctuated a bit more.

TonsOfMovies 06-18-07 09:44 PM

$41 is the best I can do for The Omen and Fantastic Four and I can add Flyboys for $20 more. So for all 3 the total would $61.00. Those prices are cheaper than Amazon and they will ship using First Class Mail and not Media Mail which is what Amazon uses I think.

It is not letting me edit my original message but I also have Strgate and Devil Wears Prada on Blu Ray. On HD I have Training Day, Fast Furious, Smokin Aces, Hulk, 40 Year Old Virgin (with slip cover), Troy, and Letters from Iwo Jima.

His pricing suggestion isn't too low. Yours are slightly too high. You can try and justify them being new and sealed all you want. But, even if your pricing matched places found online(which they don't) there is no incentive to purchase from you. Why risk purchasing from a new member? You have to sweetin' the deal.

raven56706 06-19-07 02:50 PM

why so expensive... i can get these movies with 2 day shipping with amazon for 19.95

Exactly. You aren't Amazon either. I would expect at least a 20% discount from new on a message board.

Bill Geiger 06-19-07 10:32 PM

Guys, let him price them as he sees fit. Don't pressure him. If he wants to lower them, he will. If not, then so be it.
