I am looking to sell to one person. I am not looking to piece meal it. I will either sell or I won't. I am not hard up for money, I just do not watch them much anymore, as I am now too busy.

The collection is $6500 (slightly negotiable). I am including almost every best picture winner, almost all of the AFI 100 best pictures, and a lot from the other lists. A chunk of the Bond movies, some great box sets, and then some movies, I just generally like a lot. This is damn close to my perfect collection, as my wish list was down to 40 or so items. It is complete..also listed on craigslist and may hit ebay at some point this week. I also counted 137 oop movies. So out of 700 or so, there are about 30 box sets and 137 oop....as you can see there are no filler movies. This is an awesome lot.

not to be offensive, but i do believe your asking price is a bit much. Most of the titles you have listed as OOP have been replaced by better editions. I did a rough count of just over 600 titles, and some seemed to pop up a few times (indiana jones stuck out under the title adventures of, as well as under Indiana Jones in Action, and AFI top movies respectivly)

And while it is a very nice collection, most dvd titles can be found new in the 4-12 dollar range new these days, including Warner two discers. You are asking for an avg of about 11-12 bucks a disc. Most of these disc are worth less than half of that used, and some can be found new for under 5 bucks.

I would say you would have to lower it a signifigant amount to get anyone interested. Going the ebay route with a large lot will usually lose money as opposed to gaining more. I know you don't want to piece them out, but they may be your best bet in getting a better value.

It is a very nice collection, and I hope you have/will enjoy(ed) it

$6500 will just not happen, I happen to sell dvd lots on Ebay and I am lucky to get $3 per disk. Dvd prices are really coming down and people are not paying much for them anymore, except the new releases. IMO a more realistic price for your lot would be $2000-$2500...

I also have sold DVDs on EBay. I am not looking to ebay them, if I go that route, I will sell individually and have already got a rough estimate of $5800 + s/h profits of $2/disc. While I appreciate your insight into pricing, I have a slew of boxsets, and while I realize the price is coming down on these, as well, Baseball still sells for $100 used, Band of Brothers about $40, etc. I realize these could be bought new for about $9000. This collection is a great base for anyone and would be an amazing addition for most in this forum. I would not sell on ebay in a lot, since most of those lots go for about $4/disc, although some do fetch $5. I am not looking to dump this collection cheap and would need a real offer to sell.
