Warning - Trade Across Country Lines at Your Own Risk!!
 

It's unfortunate, many of our bad trades involve people trying to send goods across country borders. Most of these trades are impossible to track, and with the heightened security measures in place after Sept 11 2001, serious delays in packages can and DO occur.

As a result of the sheer number of Bad Cross Country trades we've decided that we are no longer going to get involved in ANY WAY with trades across country borders. It's a tough decision, but ones which comes out of a number of extremely explosive bad trade situations.

<b>So if you choose to trade outside of the U.S, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK</b> and with the full understanding that the BULK of the bad trades occur in this space and we will NOT get involved if the trade goes bad. (your only recourse on DVD Talk for a bad trade across country lines is to simply add a negative feedback rating to the Good Trader List), other than that you're on your own.

At least one recent bad trade would have been helped considerably if both parties had followed the guidelines.

I'm not happy that we've had to put this new policy in place, I value and respect the DVD Talk Members who visit our site from outside of the US and want to make sure that it's clear that the new policy is not a reflection on how I feel about people in other countries, but more a reflection of the reality of sending packages in and out of the United States since 9-11. :(
