Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Not bad.. does DMC have the 3D version of Tron: Legacy? I'll be honest, if you havent seen the movie in 3D, you havent really seen it at all.

They have it, but I couldn't get it to work and still get the titles for 13$.. and I don't have a 3d setup anyhow

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Question for those who've used the Item number replacement trick. Where can I find the item numbers on an open account? I have one currently open, but I don't see the item numbers anywhere. I also tried looking at the list at blu-ray.com, but the item I want (Wall-E Combo Pack) isn't on the list.

Thanks, but if anyone has any advice on how to get the numbers from an open account, I'd appreciate it. Was hoping to browse thru the site and pick out all my titles before cycling.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

So it's been a while since I've done one of these clubs. Everything has been great, and I'm going to get Lion King for $25 this month.

They have the 50% off any other title at that point. So should I buy Fox and the Hound since I want it also, or is it more cost effective to complete this membership over the next couple months, close my account and start a new one, getting it as a free selection at that point?

It is cheaper to start a new account. On average the cost per title is about $9, taking one at 50% off will be around $12.50 which will raise that average. The best deal is to get a free shipping code and order a title for fulfillment.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Got a free shipping if you order 2 or more deal on my account, which needed to be fulfilled.

Pre ordered Lion King and Cars 2 for 24.95 each and got free shipping, so I should fulfill with an average cost of 7.98 (21.90 + 24.95 + 24.95 = 71.80 / 9).

Not bad!

Nice find. Canceled my previous pre-order for both, and reordered with free ship. Also snagged O Brother Where Art Thou? for $11.95.

Damn. Wish I would have waited. Or maybe I can cancel the first and order the 2nd. I'll try that!

I just reread the promotion.. and it seems that the discounted titles don't count towards the purchase commitment. Did yours count?

Buy 1 Movie at Regular Price Get 40% Off Additional DVDs and Blu-ray Discs plus Free Shipping when you buy 2 or more!

Your highest-priced selection counts as your regular price movie (Blu-ray or DVD must be $29.95 or more). All additional titles of equal or lesser value will have the 40% discount applied. Regular prices are shown in black. The discounted prices are shown in red. FREE shipping is valid for standard shipping only on orders of 2 or more units. Discounted titles do not count toward your purchase commitment, and are limited to 3 units per title. "3 for $45" Blu-ray Discs, Multipacks, CDs, Merchandise and Club Deals are not eligible for discounts. These offers cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. Offers end October 17, 2011.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I believe the only time discounted titles count is if they are the featured title selection.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I thought that the 24.95 pre-orders specificially stated that they counted towards commitment. I know on the Cars 2 page it says that, I don't see it on Lion King though.

I just checked my account, Lion King shipped today, but it is not counted as a fulfillment yet, which is not uncommon for DMC. I will wait a couple of days and see if the fulfillment pops up. If it doesn't, I will just send it back.

EDIT: Also, if you're talking about the 40% off discount, I didn't get 40% off of either title. The pre-orders are not discountable, so I just got free shipping.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

How do I receive the bonus points for pre ordering The Lion King? It's the first time I've done that so I am unsure.

Ah.. Then maybe it will work for you. Hope so. Would be lame for the "free ship" to disqualify the fulfillment.

TLK is showing as a commitment today, so I should be good.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I just received the enrollment shipment for my first account. Is there a way to make The Lion King increase from $25 to $30 so it will count as a fulfillment selection? I poked around the site for a while and found a way to remove all offers. That worked for almost every movie, but TLK remained at $25.

I believe TLK is the selection of the month. And since it is, it would count towards fulfilling your obligation despite it being under the $29.95 threshold.

You may want to call Disney to confirm(or maybe someone with more experience with the DMC can chime in), but I am pretty sure I read on another board that is how it works.
