Two of my favorites are "The Man Who Folded Himself" (1973) by David Gerrold and "By His Bootstraps" (1941) a short story by Robert A. Heinlein. Both are still in print but neither are currently available from SFBC.

I'm not really a novel reader these days. I mainly get graphic novels or movie related reference books. Although I can't make any recommendations, this site lists a lot of time travel books, and may assist you with picking something:

I ordered Kick Ass 2 earlier today as well. Has never gone below 19.99 at Amazon... Identity Thief is actually cheaper at SFBC than at CH. I couldn't think of anything better to get, so that's what I got, for free even with shipping... I'm all done now. 6 CH orders, and 2 SFBC orders...

Same here…

I completely agree on the pre-orders. I will use the two codes on 3D titles.

3 of my 8 orders have shipped already. 3 others are pre-orders, so just waiting for 2 more in-stock titles to ship.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

im looking to sign up to join because of this new code

apparently i have to pick 3 dvds at 2.99 as opposed to the 6 or so at .49 i signed up with years ago.

i don't really care for dvds unless its something that hasn't been converted to blu yet so i am looking for suggestions to get the most bang for my buck, be that for amazon trade-in value or something really good. i have The Walking Dead S1 in my cart right now, and that's it.

What's gotten into the water over at CH lately? If they had any acceptable level of customer service they would be getting more of my attention again. A better catalog of BR titles would be a bonus as well since at the moment there is literally nothing on my wishlist that they carry.

DAMN! Looks like memberschoice is dead.

It worked for me a few minutes ago, but became invalid as I was checking out.

I have a feeling people expecting free stuff are going to be pretty disappointed...

I think you are correct. I have two authorizations for shipping charges, where the orders were totally free (including shipping) when I placed the orders... I don't think I'll bother to complain about that, since I still got a great deal with the coupons.

One of two orders shipped, but then again it was a $20.97 title so not completely free. After discount it was $0.87 + $2.99 shipping = $3.86

Not just free stuff... I placed 4 orders - all with charges ranging from $3 to $13, and none of them have shipped.

Based on my experience with the new CH, I highly doubt any of them will ever ship.

How did they charge you? I ordered 2 free items and it said no payment information necessary. I tried to use payment information and it gave an error when I processed the order. My 2 items just went from processing to pending.

My card on file was authorized for both. When I placed the orders, no payment information was needed. Granted, the charges didn't fully post yet, but seeing as they authorized it twice for the exact shipping charge amount, I suspect the charges will post.

Most of my orders have shipped. I think everything but the pre-orders.

Glad to hear you're getting your stuff.

I still have an order from a month ago with "rush delivery" that never shipped.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I received one of my two $20.14 discounted titles today. The other still shows "processing." I'm guessing it's more of an in stock issue with that one. Let the months of anticipation begin!

Did you get a shipping confirmation and/or did the order show as shipping on the website?
