Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I pulled the trigger.. Combined BP purchases for 10 movies with four sets and an Elmo DVD to keep the 4.99 flat shipping intact for the BP movies.

Bought the following sets:
The Closer Season 7 DVD
Lethal Weapon
Underworld

Bought the following at the 5.95 sale price
Elmo's Alphabet DVD
Hatfields & McCoys (saved 56 BPs)

Used BPs for the following
Hook
Jaws
Streetcar Named Desire
Chariots of Fire
The Lorax
Annie
E.T.
Battleship
Snow White & the Huntsman
Think Like a Man

Total - $62.76
Savings - $568.50
Avg per (counting films within sets) - $2.99

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Well, they sent an email with a secret sale link. I don't think the prices are "normal." But, who knows? I entered the site via the email link.

Yep.. Prices are via the code. If you take the code off (or don't have it), you don't get the secret sale prices.

Place your order.

Ted
Bourne Legacy
That's My Boy
The Campaign
Men in Black 3
The Dark Knight Rises
Dark Shadows

all combo packs for $46.64

Also bought CSI: S12, CSI:NY: S8 and CSI:Miami: S10 for the $5.95. I'll gladly pay shipping on those when they're $5.95 each!

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Thinking about pulling the trigger on another order for all four Breaking Bad seasons and 5 of my preorder wish list movies. Struggling with paying $23 for shipping.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Ordered some Dr. Who sets (among other titles) as even with exorbitant shipping it's still a decent deal.

Was thinking of ordering all the Dexter sets, but the shipping charges kind of makes it a so-so deal.

Stayed away from the big $200+ sets (Universal, Hitchcock, Harry Potter, etc) as I can't in all good conscience bring myself to try and pull off that much of a heist.

Stayed away from pre-orders as I have a feeling those have a lesser chance of actually being shipped once CH catches on.

If my order does get shipped (at the 5.95 pricing) it will be amazing, if it gets cancelled, no big deal.

Elected not to do the breaking bad discs. Bought two preorders and used BP on three movies. I'm done.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I'm not worried about preorders. This is only a 12 hour sale. Maybe the $200 ones may not fly, but I'm willing to bet the movies will ship. They didn't discount 3D movies, so I'm not overly inclined to think its a real glitch, especially since they'll make a lot of money back on shipping.

You're kidding yourself if you don't think this is a glitch. BTW, Titanic 3D was $5.95. I should know, I ordered it.

It's definitely not maybe...The Law & Order Complete Series and Harry Potter Wizards Collections are both 5.95.

I don't know what ones you are trying IJMSPORT but I know several do indeed work.

Every time I see this thread bumped, I wonder if I'll experience the latest CH glitch. Glad I checked it today. Now to wait and see what will happen...

The deal probably would have been better if it didn't include sets. Last time they fulfilled all the single items. The sets make it more likely that cancellations could come.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

You just never know. They had a glitch last year where $200 to $300 box sets were available as enrollment selections and they did send them out.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I don't think as many people knew about the enrollment deal. Columbia house could fulfill some sets but it won't last and may cause the single item orders to be cancelled as well.

I don't know what's crazier, the $5.95 price for Harry Potter or that people "frequently" purchase it together with the Winona Ryder dud "The Letter".

Just spent my budget for Black Friday. Hoping a few get through the cracks, otherwise I just blew a Sunday Afternoon.

Yeah, I agree. This time it's a bit more iffy.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

My experience with CH is they dont usually admit to a screw up and if they cancel they usually say the item is unavailable but they typically honor them. This will cost them big time so I dont expect to get any of what I ordered.

If it has made its way to SD and BR.com a lot of flippers will be buying a lot so this wont go under the radar.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Them boys at BR.com are indeed killing it. Just ordered the Law & Order complete series for $5.95. CH MSRP is $700.

Glitch it is.

The bonus points are showing on my account now and alot of stuff is already marked as shipped with no date though. They shouldn't tease people like this...

Single titles show backordered, the bigger sets show shipped for me. Also my account shows a balance due, which of course I will ignore.
