Well, it wasn't really a glitch because it didn't actually work.

Yes, it was a glitch and it did work, it just required a regular purchase at the same time.

That is why I just ordered another blu-ray with the free Blu while they were offering the free shipping--since you probably aren't supposed to get free shipping on bonus point items.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Looks like they are running a free shipping deal for orders over $35. Apparently, Blu-rays are not included, BUT, if you order one DVD, ANY DVD, with your blu-ray order, the whole order ships free. AND, right now, you can order the Alien Anthology in Blu-ray for $69.98 with The 11th hour DVD for $2.97, and have the whole thing shipped for $72.95. That is the best deal I have seen for the Alien Anthology yet!

If you pull the DVD from the cart, the free shipping remains...

That doesn't work for me, but shipping is still only $2.99 or something like that, and that "The 11th Hour" DVD is $4.97.

I got the offer by playing their new "Gift-A-Day Giveaway". I received an email link, but I think you can also play by logging in to your account. It's one of the 5 display screens that changes every few seconds on the main page. I didn't win, but it gave me the Free Shipping > $35 deal.

I couldn't get that to work, but it was only 2.97 for me, so I bought it. I figured it gives an extra 4 bonus points, too, in addition to the free shipping, so it was worth buying...

I didn't know about the gift a day thing, but the free shipping offer was already in my account...

I guess it worked for me 'cause I'm not buying.

Bummer... doesn't work for Blu's as free disks, but I didn't think it would anyway.

So far when I put 3 or more movies in the basket using 801490, I get free shipping, not buy one get two free. (the movies can be any combination of standard or blu-ray and as long as it's 3 movies or more the shipping is free). I'll try again later.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

For me this also stacks with the $35+ free shipping offer, *but* you can only do 1 B1G2 offer in your cart so it takes a higher priced selection ($35+ to start) to trigger free shipping unless you just have to kill the average with a 4th regular price DVD. Getting a higher priced set to fulfill along with a couple of other selections *seems* to be the best way of using this.

This is on a regular DVD account. On a TV account it pushes the prices of sets to the "Club Price" (full MSRP according to CH).

Damn, sucks I missed that.

On my TV account, most sets were pushed to the full price, though a few were still sale priced.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

You're the man, rider! I created a new TV account and took Mission Impossible Season 3 & Hawaii Five-O Season 9 for $19.90. I then used the 801490 code and got Alien Anthology Blu-ray for $69.98 and Get Him to the Greek Collector's Edition and Iron Man 2 Collector's Edition as the freebies. This should fulfill this account. So for a grand total of $89.88, I'll get two TV sets and the Alien Blu-ray set for myself and I'll give the two DVDs to my brother for Christmas.

I think I had noticed this when I was playing around with it. Still trying to figure out a combination to pick up. I haven't ordered from CH in forever but was drawn in when I kept seeing this thread being bumped.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

It seemed like the only set eligible for free shipping was the alien BD anthology. Are there others?
