If they're both temporary authorizations, that's actually quite common with Columbia House in my experience with them. Chances are that one of them will drop off before being finalized, so I would wait to see if it does before calling them. It seems like they do the temporary authorization just to check availablity on your credit card when you create the order, then instead of finalizing the original charge, they create a new charge when they actually ship the order. The first charge drops off without becoming finalized.

Applied the 2nd time on 6.18, full charge 6.23 so I'm sure it's on it's way. No approval email though.

My card doesn't show temp authorizations; they're full charges, all right. I called CH this morning and they confirmed that they sent out two enrollment packages by mistake so I'm just supposed to return one and they'll credit the difference. (The CSR was kind of stupid though; she said I should dispute it with my CC company without realizing that it would cost CH $25 in chargeback fees.)

Just found out that I was double charged as well. My credit card shows charges of $5.98 on 6/17 and 6/19. For those of you who've gotten approved, I suggest you look at your order history and see if your enrollment order appears twice under different order numbers (like in my case).

Applied last Tuesday and never got approval letter but the charge showed up on my card today.

No emails, but 1 temp charge without tax that dropped off; 1 with tax that stayed; and the discs showed up yesterday.

Not too shabby.

I didn't get approved the 1st time, but the 2nd time I did. Might of made my post seem so like doubled up though.

I wish an approval or shipping email showed up so I could cancel quickly and try again!

I didn't get approved twice. I got approved once (and only applied once) and then was billed twice for the same enrollment selections.

I just got another of the same two DVDs in the mail, lol. Strange. If they didn't cost $6 I would probably return them.

applied on 6/16.. checked credit card after a week.. nothin.. no welcome email.. nada.. wrote it off as "lost" and today (6/29) one disk shows up with a raincheck for another on anything less that 29.95. Not a bad deal, since it doesn't say anything about having to be an enrollment title ...apparently the second disk was OOS or OOP maybe?

My credit Card was Pre authorized twice, and charged twice. then dissapered from my online report giving the minused amount back. but not it is showing another charge for the full selling price of 6.00 or so. But no e-mail about being accepted or being shipped the dvd's. Any idea whats going on with my application guys ?

It says though if i'm not happy with the membership to send the unopened movies back to them. is that anything to worry about ??

My only concern now would be is the code still valid? Just curious since the ch.com site went down 7/1 - just tried and got an error message.

Not the best practice. Why - because your 2 addresses are now linked. Glad that you got an acceptance (I know I sure can't - don't know a reason why), but you probably should have used a different card (if you could).
