How The West Was Won
If anyone's been on the fence/waiting to pick up How The West Was Won(regular version, not the deluxe packaging set), now might be the time seeing as it comes out next week, and it's now a 3-disc set, not 2-disc as previously announced. CH has not corrected the change yet, but we all know IF they do, this will probably be classified as a set too, and then the price will rise, and will not be available as a free selection.
Selection #: 4957304

B1G1 (802334) plus Free shipping on orders this weekend (9/5), as mentioned in the sale offer thread.

Yes, it is no longer listed as a pre-order, and I verified it is DEFINITELY not available as a freebie or FC item. "Specially priced item" only.

The regular special edition works for me. Did you put in the Limited Edition version that costs $23.97? That version won't work as a freebie.

What happened is that I put HTWWW in my Wish List months ago when CH first offered it as a pre-order. I don't think they had a separate listing for either the SE or the LE at that point, just one all purpose one. So when I moved into my Cart all these months later, it must have defaulted to the LE version. Searching for the SE version corrected that.
I assume that Basaro had the a similar experience, which is why he is not seeing the 3 disk set separately.

I didn't have any issues finding the two versions, they are both still there, the SE (still $19.95) and the LE ($23.97).

The regular (3disc) edition is still $19.95, so I wanted to get it before (if) CH changed the price on it, so I used this weekends site-wide B1G1 sale to get it and another free by combining them with 1 clearance title and the DOTD to get them all for an okay price of $21.86. Not as good as an optimized account, but good enough, plus I get $4 in funcash to use later. Probably better than what it would be if I had to pay for it if I waited and they end up changing the price.

Only the BR and Limited Ultimate Collectors' Edition (3D) versions show up for me. I don't see an SE for this. Do you have the selection number? And can you still see it today? I sure can't find it.

I just received the deluxe packaging set that I ordered with the B1G1 free code (HTWWO was the B1). For $26.96 total, including S/H, I received the three disc set that includes a 36 page Cinerama Book, 10 collectible color photo cards, 10 B/W photo cards, and 20 page reproduction of the General Release Pressbook. I also got Speedracer yesterday (Free). This deluxe version of the movie is selling for the following at other retailers (list price listed first, then sale price): Amazon - $59.98/$41.99...Barnes&Noble.com - $59.99/$43.19 (member price without coupon)...Borders - $56.99/$45.59 (without coupon)...Deep Discount - $59.95/$29.37.
