Free Shipping on ALL orders over $50 (incl. sets and HD/BD) 1 Week only

Free Shipping on ALL orders over $50 (incl. sets and HD/BD) 1 Week only

Post your deals here!

This is a sitewide sale which runs for 1 week only.
Ends Monday, March 17th at 11:59 EST. (thanks Al Tahoe)

Sale codes stack with it: see codes in the sale code thread, but post the deals here so we don't clutter up that thread.

801586 is B1G1, and seems to be the only code you'll need to optimize an account with sets.
Note: There is no banner info, just add items to your cart and you'll see it does work

Order away!

I'm about to jump on this deal, here's the math on this account:

Code:801586

Marilyn Monroe 80Th Anniversary Collection $29.97
Bee Movie Jerry's 2-Disc Edition (Pre-Order) Free
Close Encounters of the Third Kind 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition $23.97
Fullmetal Alchemist: Volume 1 - the Curse (Uncut) Free
-------
$53.94+$12.89=$66.83-$48.00(10x$4.80 incl. CETK)=$18.83(Marilyn set)/6=$3.14ea.

Also a great time to pick up Twin Peaks Gold set if you don't have it yet. The math for that set works out to be $39.80 for the set and $4.80 each for 8 regular dvds (1 of which can be a criterion or something else very expensive). Even better if you had signed up for a 6/3 account instead of a 7/2.

Any suggestions for great sets that CH currently has at prices better than you'd find anywhere else? (like the Pedro Almodovar and Jason Bourne Collections - neither of which is available anymore).

The Greta Garbo Signature Collection (10 discs, 10 films) is $59.99. Short of DD's 20% off sale, it's the best price around.

Darn, I already fulfilled with the B1G1F HD-DVD sale two weeks ago... Still, there may be some bargain sets out there, so I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone is buying.

I'm gonna go the Columbo route. All seasons are 23.97 except the first. Pretty much the cheapest price I've seen anywhere, used or new.
Also, Battlestar Galactica sets are good prices. $29.99 for Season 2.0, 2.5...
(I got Season 1 through my TV club enrollment!)

Not my cup of tea, but I noticed: Katharine Hepburn 100th Anniversary Collection in the clearance section for $30. This might be a good time to use it on the front side of a deal.

Also Film Noir Classic Collection: Volume 3 is $24.95 in the clearance section. They've already ran OOS of the Volume 1 and 2 collections, looks like these aren't coming back, which I guess explains why they never got Volume 4.

just so you know 801586 doesn't give you a banner at the top, you'll have to add things to your cart to get results.

It depends on what you want more, but here is some math to help you decide.

Tax is not included, so you may have to factor that in...

Using pretty much the same example as I used for my order above...treating the Columbo set as a regular item (I only did this in my order because I don't consider CETK a set as CH does. It's a glorified SE.)

BattleStar Galactica $29.97
Any regular priced title Free (up to $34.95 incl. Criterions)
Columbo $23.97
Any regular priced title Free (up to $34.95 incl. Criterions)
-------
$53.94+$12.89=$66.83-$48.00(10x$4.80 incl. Columbo)=$18.83(Galactica)
OR (treating Columbo as a set as it should be)
$53.94+$12.89=$66.83-$43.20(9x$4.80)=$23.63/2=$11.82 per set

...OR getting multiple Columbo sets in the same order...

Columbo $23.97
Any regular priced title Free (up to $34.95 incl. Criterions)
Columbo $23.97
Any regular priced title Free (up to $34.95 incl. Criterions)
4.95 title (clearance or DOTD, etc.) (need something cheap to get over $50)
-------
$52.89+$12.89=$65.78-$48.00(10x$4.80)=$17.78/2=$8.89 per set
OR with a $5.95 title instead of $4.95
$53.89+$12.89=$66.78-$48.00(10x$4.80)=$18.78/2=$9.39 per set
...etc...

Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Season Three 04745402W $23.97
Once 04844809W Free
The Riches: Season One 04857207W $29.97
I Could Never be Your Woman 04884003W Free
Subtotal 53.94
Shipping & Processing FREE
Tax 4.52
Total 58.46

Can't beat that with a stick! Thanks for the head's up OP.

Picked up 2 copies of 'I Am Legend' SE and 'American Gangster' SE, as well as 'Bee Movie' SE and 'The Mist' SE for a shade under $70.

I had returned one of the offers via mail with a crappy fulfillment, so this came at a good time I guess. The average isn't he best, but it'll work.

The extra copy of 'I Am Legend' and 'American Gangster' are going to my brother

Yes, it is working for me now, but only on regular DVDs - I had blu-ray titles in my cart before which is why it wasn't working.

It's too bad that the Blu-Ray freebie deal from last week isn't still active with this free shipping offer. You can still take a BR as the paid part of the BOGO. A good BR to take as the paid part of an order is the Blade Runner set. CH considers this title as a set and the shipping would usually be $7.99.

801586 is a normal B1G1 code (G1 is for regular dvds only). There are no current codes for B1G1 with HD/BD, that sale ended sometime last week.

So, as SBJ said, use a BD title for a qualifier and get a regular dvd free. If I was a BD man, I'd have gotten Blade Runner myself. Too bad CH never got the regular HD set, or I would've bought that.

I ordered the Blade Runner blu-Ray, along with the Katherine Hepburn boxset - got the Midnight Express 30th anniversay & In the Heat of the Night 40th anniversay DVDs for free.

Blade Runner is now my very first Blu-Ray, I am no longer a HD virgin!!!

I tried getting some sub-$20 sets (which normal prices over $20), hoping to still get a freebie, but it didn't work. Didn't that used to work?

The Brave One - HD DVD and DVD Combo 48618 $26.96

I know what you're saying. I've found that the BOGO rarely works with the sub-$20 sets when the BOGO code is a "multiple" BOGO code. If it's a single BOGO w/60% off type code that's when you can usually have the most success.

This works with some codes and not with others. Some codes work with the "clearance" titles that have a regular price of $19.95 or more but not others. No rhyme or reason. All you can do is give it a try and see.
