Looking for Funcash Suggestions
I am trying to burn my last $16 in Funcash and would like to find a good option that will be in the $15.95 and less category. A prime example of what I am interested in would have been Spiderman 2 if I had not just purchased it. Lack of forethought and planning on my part. Anyway, thought some of you might have a good option. I sure wish I could search CH by price. A good reason why it would be nice to have the data miner up and going again but they started making to too hard by changing the site.

I was going to post the same thing earlier. With the cut off date going we need a thread like this running so we can all use what we've got.
Myself, I've got $30 to spend. I'm mostly looking for special price items in the $10-15 range. Anyone got any good suggestions in that area?

I'm going to use my FC on the Reno 911 sets. Seasons 1, 3 and 4 are $16.17 each($6.17 after FC). The shipping is the standard $2.99 for seasons 1 and 4(I have no idea why they would charge $5.99 for season 3 since it contains the same amount of discs).

I'd like to know of some good way to use FC also. I just used all $24 on 1 account and got Halloween Unrated DC SE (2 disc) for a total of $3.94 shipped. I still have $69 on my other account and thinking of ordering a box set or 2. I could use $40 and get Full House Complete Series for $69.84 shipped. Any other suggestions?

I picked up the Anne of the Thousand Days / Mary, Queen of Scots double feature. It is 11.95 before FC so about $5 shipped after. If you like Resident Evil there is a similar double feature for the same price.
Other than that, like SBJ I would recommend Reno 911 or Upright Citizens Brigade (which I burned my last FC on).

I am going to cash in my Funcash today. I will be picking up the Teen Titan and the Batman sets that go for 11.97 each. Looks like I have enough to get the full run.

You can spend $40 in FC + $69.84 to get it...
OR
You can get a 6:3 account and use it to fulfill with a 15%-off code, and spend $97.50 for 6 regular DVDs plus the set. At a value of $4.80 per regular DVD, that's a net equivalent of $68.71 for the Full House set ($1.15 less than the FC alternative, and you're spending no FC). You have to spend more out of pocket, and you have to want 6 more DVDs, but if those two ifs are not a problem, then spending $40 in FC on the Full House set is a complete waste of it. It actually has a negative efficiency of 2.8%, since the net cost is actually higher when using your FC.
And as for the people buying regular DVDs that can be used as fulfillments, that's also highly inefficient. They can be gotten for $4.80 in a 7:2 account using B1G1 codes to optimize it. Or, you can spend $20 in FC + $2.99 shipping. So, $20 in FC = a savings of about $1.80, meaning your FC efficiency is only 9%.
The optimal use of FC is for 2-disc sets under $19.95. These have an efficiency of about 70%:
DC Comics animated stuff:
Aquaman
The Batman
Batman Beyond (seasons 1 and 3)
Justice League
New Adventures of Batman
New Adventures of Superman
Super Friends/Super Powers
Superman: The Animated Series
Teen Titans
Cartoon Network stuff:
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Harvey Birdman
Robot Chicken
Samurai Jack
Sealab 2021
Venture Brothers
Other Stuff:
Best of Abbott and Costello
Birdman and the Galaxy Trio
Dr. Katz (I don't recommend these because only 1 & 2 are available separately)
Drawn Together
Game Over
Hammer Horror Series
Josie and the Pussycats
Lost Room
Police Squad
Universal Monsters Legacy Collections (Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummy, Invisible Man, Wolf Man, Creature From the Black Lagoon)
You can also get sets that have more than 2 discs, but the FC efficiency drops pretty quickly because of the increased shipping cost, so for about 30% efficiency, you can get things like:
Greatest American Hero (each season)
South Park (first 4 seasons)
Friends (each season)
NYPD Blue (looks like seasons 5 and up may never be released, so buyer beware)
etc...
But keep in mind that these are also often available elsewhere cheaper, so again, you might be throwing your FC away for no reason, other than "just to use it up," and in fact, you might actually wind up spending more out-of-pocket than you would otherwise. (Examples: $12.50 sale on some South Park seasons at Target right now, or the Friends Complete Series using to fulfill a 6:3 account with a 15%-off code means all 10 seasons for a net cost of $122.26, or $12.23 a season, as opposed to $10 FC + $14.96 real cash for each season in a FC purchase).

I went with the following to use up my $32 in Funcash:
Once (GREAT movie!) - $0.95 after $22 Funcash applied
Chef! Season One - $1.97 after $10 Funcash applied
Total cost with S&H: $7.90
And yeah, I know that buying a single movie isn't the most cost efficient use of Funcash, but I've been waiting for the Once DVD to come out and don't want to hold off to see if the right "deal" comes along to puchase it on CH before Funcash expires (after losing Funcash from December purchases last year, I decided not to make any CH purchases after 12/1 or so). Plus, I can't find anything that I really want/need after looking for other $11.97 2-DVD sets that would give me more bang for the Funcash buck (it gets so complicated here sometimes...lol!).
I do appreciate all those calculations that Cheato and others do, though, to help us all figure out whether we're really getting a deal!

Some individual series of a few British programs that are "Special Priced" under $19.95 and good funcash fodder are:
Chef (1, 2, & 3)
Vicar of Dibley (1 & 2)
Allo! Allo! (4)
Black Adder (I, II, III, IV)
A Bit of Fry & Laurie (1 & 2)
Ab-Fab (1, 2, 3, & 4)
The Office (1)
Two's Company (1, 2, & 3)
Ballykissangel (1)
Black Books (1)
My Family (1, 2)
Little Britain (1, 2, & 3)
As Time Goes By (7)
Men Behaving Badly (2)
Coupling (3, 4)
Father Ted (1)
Most (if not all) of these are 1 or 2 disk "sets" so shipping should be under $3. Several of these also have seasons available over the $20 price. But CH drives me crazy with the slipshod treatment of British (and some US) series! They'll have odd seasons, be 1 short of carrying the whole thing, stop with 1 when 3 or more are available. With the way some of these have had seasons disappear recently I get the impression the British stuff is on short notice. I mention this as a caution so that if you do a "blind buy" on any of these be aware you might have to go elsewhere to complete your collection.

I guess what I'm saying is if you go for any British stuff, maybe you should get it all at once so they don't do that to you too.

I'm holding out, but mostly because I want to see what I get for Christmas before I make any orders. I'm am hoping the 3/$22 sale will end in the next couple days and be replaced by a new sale though. I figure that's our only chance for a glitch.

I used $71 of my $72 on:
HP5 SE
Halloween Unrated
Stardust
I used $48 a couple of weeks ago on:
Die Hard 4 CE
Waitress
I guess I'll eat my last remaining $1.
