Lost phone applications?

Hi,

I called CH two weeks ago to enroll and it's been quiet since then (no credit card charge). Previous phone enrollments (at least 10 of them) always went smoothly. Did this happen to other people? Do you think it's accidental and reapplying can be successful?

Also, what is the current success rate of online applications? There was a period (I think about a year ago) when all such applications were getting lost (which actually means: were denied, but not officially) if the applicant had numerous memberships in the past. This was the reason I switched to the phone enrollments.

While I have never had a "lost" phone application, I have been rejected a number of times. If that happens to you, you should receive a post card in the next week or so thanking you for your interest and declining your application.

I really have no way to judge whether on-line applications are worse than usual. Anecdotal evidence here suggests that many are still lost or rejected. I gave up on on-line applications some time ago. My most recent application was by mail.

I'd wait another week before re-applying. If you have a good 7:2 mail-in offer from a "we want you back" letter, you might want to give that a try. Otherwise, try again on the phone.
