kubrick titles on blu ray from CH - anyone had theirs ship yet

I have both 2001 & the Shining on blu ray on order from CH... but while my credit card has been authorized, my order shows "awaiting stock"... has anyone ordered these titles & actually received confirmation of shipping?

I received an email saying that they're backordered and if they don't get stock by 11/22, the orders will be canceled. They've also been removed from the site, so I'm not holding my breath. I already purchased them elsewhere and will give these as gifts if they actually ship.

There have been supply problems for the Kubrick titles at other retailers. It is likely that Columbia House is at the bottom of the pecking order when it comes to getting titles in short supply.

I ordered The Shining awhile back and it appears to have dropped off my order. I haven't received a letter yet.

2001 has dropped off my order, but no e-mail yet, I am expecting one by or on 11/22.

I had The Shining HD-DVD pre-ordered in the Buy 2 Get 3 free deal and received a letter today saying they no longer carry the item.

Yeah, I got the cancellation letters for 2001 HD and The Shining HD today. I used a B1G1 code for them. They won't go back and charge me for the freebies, will they?

No, you don't have to worry about getting charged. Sometimes that happens with Columbia House and you get free movies out of it, just see the "has this ever happened to anyone" thread.

Warner has had massive distribution problems the past couple of months. I'm still waiting on my Kubrick order from Warner's own website placed two months ago. Major retailers like Best Buy seem to get first priority on these type of items.
