Club Limit Letter received after new account. What to do?

I recently put in a new application after closing two accounts. I guess my mistake was putting the app in on the same day I closed the two accounts. I did make sure they were closed first though, so I don't know. Anyways, i've received a mailing saying that they can't give me a new account because I already have two. They ask for a response and it has an option to check that I in fact do not have two accounts. Has anyone else gotten this and had any luck with it or would I be better off putting in a new app?

I believe most of us have gotten this letter at one time or another.

Just indicate on the form that you no longer have any open accounts - that you just closed them. That should be enough to let that account go thru.

I actually emailed them under the rejected app heading and today I got an email back saying it was processed. So, hopefully, she speaks the truth.
