Is there a way to get out of CH without penalty and with buying enough DVDs?

I still have 2 purchases to make before I reach my commitment requirement, CH's shipping cost is rediculous, is there a little known loophole that I can use to get out without having to pay or buy more DVDs from them?

You "still have 2 purchases to make"? What in the world sort of offer did you sign up under? Did you not use an offer code so that you only end up with needing to buy two DVDs over a two year period?

I see that you are going for a $1.8414285714285714285714285714286 average per DVD.

Back when they had a video club I got kicked out of the club for returning every directors' selection they kept sending me. I never ended up buying any at regular price

If there was a loophole don't you think we'd all use it? No one would fulfill if there was a way out otherwise.

Just wait for a BOGO with free shipping and buy your two movies, then cancel if you want.

You just missed - a week ago - the last round of b0g0 w/site-wide free S&H.

Just wait another week or two & they will have something similar.

Well, you might be able talk them into letting you send back your enrollments and cancel the account, but I can't say I've ever tried that so I don't know if that would work.

There's no risk, your introductory package is sent on a 10-day trial basis and includes complete details of membership. If you are not completely satisfied, you may return the package at our expense and we'll cancel your membership and refund your money.

Got that from the website.

The loophole for free shipping is little-known...but not by those who have managed to find this subforum. If you'll read around some of threads, you'll see we are literally embarassing the DVD Bargains forum with our per-DVD cost for most DVDs we buy. Damn shame they don't carry Fox titles at CH.

CB - Seriously, you need to read the clubs forum more often. There are plenty of B1G1 and free shipping deals available. They pop up every few weeks. And yeah, I'll second what Brent asked, what code did you use? You should have only had two fulfillments if you used one of the good codes posted in here...

Columbia House used to carry Fox AND Disney/BV/Miramax titles. Whey they lost the contract for Fox and Disney they blew out the remaining stock at fire sale prices. Those were the days...

Wish I would have been around for that! I can understand the Disney/BV/Miramax thing because Disney is a powerhouse and their family titles fly off the shelves, so of course, why not have your own movie club? But Fox? They don't have a club, so what's the point?

CB - If you don't want to join again, I guess you could always say you died. That'll get you out.
