Sets @ $19.95 - Free Shipping

http://www.columbiahouse.com/sa/150/...n=150&bak=NONE

Just noticed this new promo show up. A bunch of TV and movie box sets are priced at $19.95 with no shipping or processing. Some of these sets were only $14.97 before this sale so I'm not sure if the deal is that great or not. Of course, the $19.95 price does mean they count for fulfillment and you can use a BOGO code with them to get a free movie.

Not bad, I used code 802350 and got Alf: season 3 and Happy Feet for 22.94, using the code cancelled out free shipping for the box set but I figure getting Happy Feet for 2.99, the shipping cost, is not a bad deal.

I priced Alf at amazon.com and DeepDiscount and they are both higher than what I paid for it and Alf counts toward my commitment.

Any idea when it expires?

I'm not seeing an expiration date anywhere. The other sales it's listed with are Mother's Day themed, so maybe it's with them and will be on until then?

I'm gonna hold off for now to see if a BOGO with free shipping pops up, but I do have an unfulfilled account sitting here. I'm looking at maybe Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Rodriguez's Mexico Trilogy to fulfill that account.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought Alf Season Three and took Smokin' Aces for free. Not too bad.

The link the OP posted appears to be to his account and is "logged out"... Just go to CH and log in with your account information. On the main page you'll see the "Mothers' Day" special offer graphic/link. Click on that and towards the bottom of the offer information you'll see an offer of $19.95 sets with "free" shipping. Click on that graphic/link to get to the lists.

The link is not to my account. You just won't be able to see the link until you login at Columbia House. It's that way for any page on the site. They don't want you to be able to see the pages unless you're a member so they force you to login.

If you go to the site and login, then come back and click my link you'll see that it goes right to the sale page with no problem.

This is a great find! Be sure to look at all the DVDs available in this deal (there's more just that one page if you click on all the subgenres in small gray print above that page, you'll see tons more options). You can even get a DVD whose club price is $24.95 as the FREE title when you buy a $19.95 set that is regularly $29.95. Probably can even find a free one for $29.95 (if there are any on the site that aren't considered sets).

To illustrate Dane's point, I just ordered the MAE WEST GLAMOUR COLLECTION for $19.95 and got BROKEN TRAIL ($24.95) free. Shipping was only $2.99

True... but... quite a few of these go for $14.95 - $17.95 outside of this "sale" and have $2.99 shipping if they are 1 or 2 disk "sets". In some of those instances you'll actually be getting a worse deal by a couple of dollars than if you purchase at another time. This is one case where it pays to know the "regular" price of the set. Of course this doesn't apply to ANY set that has 3 or more disks as shipping on those is normally outrageous!

I was going to pass this one by but. . . .thanks to whoever left the FunCash suggestion! With the free shipping, that really is an excellent deal. I ended up getting Grounded for Life S2 and using $4 FunCash for $15.95 to my door plus tax.

I could have used more FunCash but I'm saving my remaining $10 to buy another season of Quantum Leap. Columbia House's price using $10 FunCash even with their too-high shipping prices still beats anything else I can find.

Now I just have to pick up S1 of Grounded for Life sometime.

I wish some of these sets featured Season 1 of some of the shows. I'd be interested in getting 'Grounded For Life' S1 if it was available.

Ah well, I'll wait for the inevitable BOGO that DDD has that normally includes the show
