I don't have much to report (I know, bated breath all around, haha)...but...I did get a 'come back to us' email overnight and it was for a 7:2 offer...now I'm wondering if I took THAT offer up, will I get through easier??
Does anyone know if CH sending you an invite is a guaranteed 'in'?

You had better take a good look at that. I had gotten an 8:2 offer and almost wet my pants until I noticed that S&H wasn't included.

Definitely not. It is the same as any other on-line application. When you click on the e-mail link the enrollment code will be embedded in the URL. That's where a lot of our codes come from.

A mail-in application might have a better chance of success but "we want you back" mailings with the best 7:2 codes are less common than e-mail ones.

Understood. As always, thanks for the help!

Quick update on my recent experiences:

Tried two internet apps using 76W - heard nothing on either one.

Used 98W on a phone app - applied last Thursday and got my DVDs on Monday

(BTW for anyone interested I did receive the Transformers and Live Free Die Hard 2-disc versions as enrollments)

So...dumb question?...you call up...you say you want to enroll and that you have a code '98W' and take it from there?
I want to get another account going before this free shipping sale ends.

Yep. Just have your enrollment title selection #s ready and it makes for a fairly painless process.

98W does require a PSN and credit card payment (though maybe you can be asked to be billed later - anyone?)

Thanks! That's fine...I'll have my PSN and CC at the ready. I'm gonna give it a go.
I'm feeling my 76W attempts aren't working out online.

Good luck! And remember that if you are so inclined, you can open two accounts at the same time. Just go through the exercise once and then ask the rep if you can open another one. I have done this a couple of times in the past with no problems.

I also had to call in. I couldn't get a 7:2 no-shipping charge code to work online, although I did not try very many before calling.

I received an offer in the mail with the offer code of D9K. I enrolled over the phone with a PSN. It has been 3 weeks and my card has not been charged yet. I was going to re-apply, but I don't want to get duplicate orders in case the first order finally goes through. I have enrolled a few times in the past and it has never taken this long. Should I re-enroll or wait longer?

I'm still waiting on my phone order, placed exactly a week ago. Pending charge hanging on my account as of today...

With phone enrollments, a charge means you're in. You should get your package any day. If a good deal offer comes up before you receive it, you can usually call in and get a CSR to give you your account number.

Phone enrollments are much more reliable than web applications, but they're still not 100%. If you haven't had a charge hit your card after 3 weeks, it was likely "lost". You could call and ask about it after another week, but I'd probably just re-apply.

How does the PSN work? Can you use any account number that you had in the past or does it have to be an account that is currently open?

Also, will the CSR tell you if the enrollment code is valid or not?

My pending charge has now disappeared from my credit card statement. I'm not going to try for a new account for a while...

Hmm, that's odd for a phone app. My guess would still be that you probably got accepted, and a permanent charge (hopefully, along with your enrollment package) will show up soon.

I just received a 9:3 offer. Code B8N. Obviously this isn't as good as a 7:2, but it might be worth a try if nothing else is working. It requires a PSN.

On a related note, is anyone updating the top of this thread? If not, is anyone willing to take that on?

That's also a very good one if you want to fulfill with a $60+ set. Thanks.

Be careful, because these 9:3 deals that have been popping up have so far required a shipping charge (and this one does, too--I just checked).

So, compared to a 6:3 (which would also be fulfilled with a $60+ purchase), you wind up spending an extra $1.99*9 + $0.49*3 = $19.38 for your enrollment to get 3 more DVDs at an average of $6.23 each, which is worse than the $4.80 in optimized 7:2 accounts, meaning you pay an extra $4.29 for that $60+ boxed set than you would in a 6:3 account.

$4.29 isn't a lot of money, so it could still be a fine deal if you can't get 6:3 accounts approved, and somehow this one does get approved for you.

You could also not get the 9th DVD for $9.95, and leave it an 8:4 account, and fulfill with an $80+ item. That would only be an extra $2.86.

I got a 9:2 offer the other day, shipping was also not included, otherwise it would be a good deal. After doing the math I determined it was a crap offer and threw it away, sorry I don't remember the code, but the average for a regular account was over $5 each, so a 7:2 code is still the best deal.
