Just a "head's up": sotra posted this thread in the main bargains forum about 196 DVDs for $6 each from Buy.com.

I mention it here because I noticed a number of Disney/Buena Vista/Miramax titles that are no longer available from Columbia House (they were, when I bought them).

And even if they were available at CH, they are still cheaper at 4$ a pop (I think some people have cracked the 4$ average at CH, but it's not too common)

Wrong forum ----- there are literally THOUSANDS of titles, and sales from dozens of retailers all the time for titles NOT available from CH.

That's why there is a DVD BARGAINS forum.

I think it's appropriate to post deals, in the Clubs Forum, that consist entirely of studios that Columbia House does not carry, namely Disney/Buena Vista and Fox.

While you may not be aware of it, we here frequently field questions like "Why doesn't Columbia House have [insert name of Fox, Disney/Buena Vista/Miramax/Dimension title]"? Those of us who buy most of our DVDs from CH (they have more than 10,000 titles, after all) are very interested in where to get DVDs, that CH doesn't carry, inexpensively. And some who visit this forum may not be aware of sotra's thread in the main Bargains forum. It is a bit unusual to see so many titles that CH doesn't carry at such low prices in one place.

And when the next DDD 20% sale rolls around in November, I expect to see another thread here discussing which titles that CH doesn't carry that are good deals there.

All of which is a polite way of explaining why your criticism is not valid. If you wish to report my thread to a moderator, please feel free to do so.

I concur. Us frequent CH members are used to paying $4-$5 for DVD's, so usually don't read the main bargain forum. This sale at buy.com, combined with the $10 google coupon, gives you 5 DVD's for $20, so is of interest to us cheap bast..., er, bargain hunters...
