Looks like the DVD's come in crap red cardboard sleves, not the original keepcases. I wonder if the discs are specially made for the club and if they contain the original special features.

^ Yes, you're right, good catch:

Q: Do the movies come with plastic cases?
A: No, we deliver our DVDs in cardboard mailers without the cases. However, as a member you will soon be able to log in to download and print high resolution official cover art and assemble your own DVD case. In addition, all paying subscribers will receive a National Lampoon branded hard case that will house the year's collection of comedy films. This case will be standard DVD dimensions, and will fit with your existing DVD collection.

Also, one can't choose which titles are received nor can one return one that is not wanted for a full refund. http://www.nldvdclub.com/faq

Well, it does say this:

No Repeats Guaranteed
If you happen to own one of these films already, all you have to do is return it to us and we will send you a new one absolutely FREE!

So I suppose if you end up not wanting it, you can always tell them that you already own it.

I'd still like to hear if these discs are the original releases (ie. WS, where possible, extra features) and not some NL knockoff (like the free discs that come with cereal boxes and Papa Johns pizza).

Anyone have experience with this or the Shatner club? They both seem fairly interesting to me, though the $10 extra NL charges is off-putting.
