Have to agree with Lizard on this. We all knew or should have known this was limited time, as they always are. CH seems to have similar glitches every once in a while and if you don't get in before they fix it you can't blame anyone other than your self or maybe CH for not approving your account soon enough.

Of course, because one post about a glitch in an entire thread about the glitch is going to get CH up in arms because they NEVER would've caught on otherwise...

I'm sure me calling them and asking if it was a glitch or if it was intentional didn't help.

I just put in 807748 and it came up get 3 free when you complete commitment.

So for me it would be b2g3, but doesn't seem to be working that way, more like b1g1.

From post #76 in THIS thread:

The code is purely a B1G1 code. Technically, it's for people with 3 fulfillments needed, in which case they would do 3 B1G1's, but it is really just a standard B1G1 code.

Welcome to the board. When you first sign on, click on the default offer located at the top of the page. When the next page appears, scroll down to the middle of the page and you'll see a box that says "Enter your online code". Input the code and click enter and you're good to go. Don't forget to first sign in at either columbiahouse.com/webdvd or columbiahouse.com/webtv to get an additional $5 off of your first online order of $30 or more.

BTW, this code is working fine for me. Some folks earlier mentioned that they thought it was dead.

It's dead as in you can't do b2g3, but you can do b4g6.

CH stopped having the B4G1 that was a source of the b4g6 "glitch" when they started their current $4.95 sale.

It took some digging through the threads but I guess this 807748 only works for unfulfilled accounts which I don't have. Since I like to throw my 2 cents in the mix, I'll spew a little here.

There are clearly some fantastic deals at CH if you pay attention. I've noticed some incredibles hauls by certain people that make me feel like I overpaid whenever I order because I don't read every post in every thread to know how to maximize deals. For instance, I ordered 4 $3.98 titles during that sale but I didn't know to add a 5th $3.98 title for free. I guess that was in a separate thread which I missed until after it was too late.

I haven't signed up for a new account for at least 2 years. Why? Because it has always been a pain for me to find enough titles I want for enrollment. The biggest problem for me is that CH's selection is limited by not carrying Disney and Fox. I struggle enough as it is to come up with a few titles to order whenever there is an OK sale like the $3.98/$4.98 one. Many of CH's great deals were from loopholes/glitches in the system. I remember having to add/delete and re-add DVDs many times in different orders to get deals to work, and many other times I've tried deals others have posted and they didn't work for me even when I entered the same code and followed the same steps. It just became too much hassle to read threads and play games with codes and carts to try to get newer DVDs for an average price of under $6 from CH, especially when I figure in 1-2 years time these DVDs will be under $6 at Walmart, Fry's, CC, or BBY (or even CH without a special code). I'll take an easy $6 purchase over a tricky $4 one.

I wish I had the time to keep up on all the deals threads, but I'm lucky to spend 30 minutes checking DVD Talk once per week. I blame work!

In summary, I congratulate all the people who get the awesome deals at CH, and on rare occasions I've scored big but most of the time I score small. Then when I see B2G3F deals I feel like a dunce and a loser only getting a B1G1F + free shipping. So I've adopted the opinion that if I can't get a DVD through my fulfilled account for under $6 delivered without a lot of tricks, I'll just wait until I can. There are few DVDs I've got to buy (the next ones being the Walt Disney Treasures and such in December which CH won't carry anyway... obviously those will never hit the $6 mark so my $6 rule only applies to the average single disc movie). For the B1G1F I ended up paying $8.50 each for 2 titles that I especially wanted, but that was one of my exceptions.

Don't know about that. I've only got fulfilled accounts & it works on mine - at least it did a few days ago when I last played with it. Like you, I wish I had held off fulfilling a couple of my accounts - but, you never know when/if a better deal may come along.

Actually, that was a special CH was having at the time. It was shown in the cart view towards the top. One of those "blurbs" letting you know how close you are to some "special" that is active on your account.

If you only have 2 enrollments to go, is a B4G6 (of all $20) titles even cost effective, or does it make more sense (once postage and all that is factored in, to do a B2G2 and just open a second account?

I'm bad at this CH math.

Just take the total cost of all DVDs you get from the account, and divide it by the number of DVDs you'll get with whatever deal you are using.

Some of you folks might want to go back and check your invoices for this 'deal.' I just checked mine and there are several things wrong with it. This is what I had ordered initially:

Amadeus Director's Cut Special Edition 02759108W Free
The Sting Special Edition Legacy Series 04193306W Free
Shiri 03432002W Free
Over the Hedge (Pre-Order) 04488706W $19.95
8 1/2: The Criterion Collection 03638905W $29.95
The Ruling Class: The Criterion Collection 03639606W Free

Subtotal 49.90
Shipping & Processing 12.94
Tax FREE
Total 62.84

Well, I just checked my invoice and this is what I have:

8 1/2: The Criterion Collection 03638905W $34.95 Instead of $29.95.
Also, they decided to make Shiri the second chargeable title at $21.95, instead of Over the Hedge at $19.95. Also, since the latter is a pre-order, according to their site, they plane on charging me for that title as well when it ships! So instead of B2G4, it appears they plan on making it B3G3 with $5 added on to 8 1/2: The Criterion Collection.

Instead of my total being $62.84, it could end up being $89.79. Which would be totally unacceptable as that kills this deal. I'm going to have to send them an email, they totally screwed up my order...but of course this could be trouble considering this sale was never meant to be. Any advice?

I hope you're a patient person. They messed up my order on the last B1G1 Free sale and really never budge, despite me having the original receipt. I finally had to settle for their "deal" of charging me $7 more than the receipt stated.
