Yeah sale prices are still there but as SBJ was saying you could have applied full amount FC to the item and get it FREE if you had the FC of course like say i added SNL I could have applied whatever FC to cover the full amount but once you do that and then go to checkout the FC is adjusted to the corrected applied amount say 10.FC instead of say i used 30FC on the SET... did i explain that right ;(

but still good deals are there... my utlimate superman disappeared from my funcash orders and it has reappeared today ... still pending ? so will wait and see what happens there... my james Bonds sets are still pending too...

Did your funcash ever reappear? My superman set disappeared and stayed disappeared. Don't suppose you'd want to trade for yours, since you are already getting one eh? ;)

Something odd is going on with my funcash cart...I spent all day getting the exact combination of DVDs I wanted to spend my $123 in funcash on, and now they are raising the prices as I check out...sort of. Though I paid for the total price with FC$, they are adding more on in addition to the postage. Here's the checkout page. Guess I was just too slow. Damn! I logged out and then logged back in and all the prices for the DVDs in my cart have gone up. Oh well.

I think I barely beat the buzzer. I submitted an order a half hour ago for the Chaplin Collection Volume 2 ($44.98-$20 + 7.99) for $32.97. I just logged back in to use some more of my Fun Cash and all of the box sets that I checked have gone up like other posters have written.

I wonder if they'll cancel the orders of us who got in on the really good deals. I went ahead and took the dive for the Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection for $44.xx as well as the Film Noir Collection v3 for $21.xx before the prices went up.

I had been holding the Wolfman and Invisible Man Legacy Collections in my funcash cart for days when I read here that they were adjusting the prices. I went to buy them quick and checkout came up with a whole lot of asterisks saying I had to call a CSR to complete the deal. I wasn't going to do that so I thought I had lost it. Then I tried again and then cart came up normal so I jumped on it and got them for a little more than $10 including shipping. Now they're coming up at a higher price so I just made it.

It looks like the set prices have gone back up. This shouldn't be too big a surprise, since they were obviously double-discounting them before. At least the "gift" selections can still be had for a good funcash price. For the (perhaps short) time being anyway.

Looks loke they're making adjustments to get it back to what the prices really should be. The discounted prices were most likely an error on CH's part. When something like this happens it's usually best to place the orders early, because you'll never know how long it will last. I just hope they don't cancel the orders on those that have already placed them. If they do, it may not give some a chance to place new orders as the year is almost up.

CH is usually pretty good about honoring/fufilling glitch orders, so here's to hoping.:fc:

So far, so good. My triple funcash accumulation order and subsequent funcash Bond order from Sunday have both been charged to my cc in the proper amounts.

Btw, is this the 3rd or 4th year in a row now that CH has managed to pull off the el cheapo funcash cart glitch? ;)

I spent about half my funcash the other day on this deal.
Spending half the funcash was my mistake because we all know the deal where sometimes funcash will have a negative balance after an order.
So, for the past few days, my fc was -$20 and still is, so I still cannot get back into my fc cart to place another order. :(
Oh well. As long as I get the stuff I already ordered, I'll be pleased. Guess I might use the rest of my funcash on regular priced titles like I usually do.

You're not alone. I used $20 of my $26 of FC on 2 separate orders yesterday. It said that I had $6 in FC left after I placed the orders yesterday(obviously). It now says that I have a negative balance of $14 in FC. They must have taken the $20 worth of FC twice. I'll wait a few days to contact CS in hopes that it will sort itself out.

I had the same experience once. I placed an order with $18 funcash I had at that time and two days later my account got a negative $18 in funcash. It turned back to zero balance after the funcash order was shipped, though. I never bothered to contact CH because what they could've done to me even if I had a negative balance in funcash? It was a fulfilled account and I'd used up all the funcash in it. :P

Today I got shipping confirmation for the order I placed on Saturday. It was 1 pre-order along with 6 other selections that racked up $42 in FC.

I already had $49 in FC on this fulfilled account. The FC balance immediately went to $91 after placing the order ($49 + $42). Just a day later I saw it go down by $6 which is understandable as that is the $6 in FC that the pre-order (shipping, 12/26) earned.

I placed an $84 FC order yesterday afternoon. $1 balance remaining.

Everything looks to be on track. :)

Well, I have $10 funcash today, so it's mostly cleared up. The other $20 that still has to clear hasn't come back yet because Bond set 1 is on backorder, so that $20 fc I used will not show up until that order has shipped. Ain't CH grand? ;)

And of course now that I have funcash again, my cart has been emptied (presumably because I had a negative balance after I made the first order), and all the boxsets I had in my cart before show up at regular price again in the cart just like the rest of you. Poop.
Oh well, can't win 'em all, just hope that backordered Bond set 1 still gets shipped. The other stuff I ordered has already been charged and should be on the way.

Has the discounted sets in the Funcash carts happened in previous years? I don't remember it last year and I had $370 in Funcash that year.

I'm seeing major discounts on certain DVDs and sets once again, as well as the "cap" not being on certain DVDs. You can get the recent releases of Frankenstein and Dracula for free, as well as Hearts & Minds Criterion (if you have enough FC that is). I don't see a way to tell what works without putting it in the FC cart though, which sucks. I'm sure that there are other deals like this as well though.

$3.xx for a Criterion sounds good to me.

Well, it looks like the "cap" isn't on any of the "normal" DVDs, so if you have enough FC you can get anything like that for "free".

The War of the Worlds Limited Edition DVD comes up at $9.98 instead of the higher price in the cart and it allows you to apply $10 of FC to it. The Batman Begins Deluxe Edition comes to $7.98 in the cart, and just like the others you can apply as much FC to it as you want.

Yeah, that's nothing new, that's the way it's always been. The "cap" restriction is only for "Special Priced" items like boxsets and 3 disc sets, etc.

WOW LE is also sold out, so you won't even get it. I don't think it's ever coming back in stock, but CH hasn't removed it from the site. There is a good trick however to getting free shipping without having to buy another title using that though. Just add it to an order of only 2 titles, which would make it 3(for free shipping if active on that account), and you'll get the free shipping. Then after the order is processed, WOW LE will be removed from your order and you won't be charged for it. Still free shipping. :)

EDIT: WOW LE is apparently back in stock, so that trick won't work anymore. Was good while it lasted.

If I understand correctly, you can TRY to apply the full FC to a box set, but it will "correct" when you go to checkout to $10 (or $20). I got excited earlier today when I tried to order Batman Beyond S2 with 27 funcash and it appeared it might let me do so. But I thought something smelled fishy, so I came to this forum to get the straight story.

I was happy get confirmation of my order being shipped for two Dr. Strangelove 40th Anniv. SE shipped for $12 FC each. Seems like a pretty decent use of FC. :) May all your deals be as sweet.
