Haven't been accepted 4 straight times?

What gives? I never abused my account. Only had at most 2 at a time.

Now, even using an offer I received through the mail (after not being a member for over a year), I still haven't been approved.

I obviously haven't gotten blacklisted (there would be no reason to do so) because I'm constantly receiving mailings.

Anyone else having the same problem? Should I try calling it in instead of applying online?

Having on-line applications "lost" is routine for those of us who have had more than a couple of accounts. Pretty much everyone has this problem eventually. In the past, phone orders have had a higher acceptance rate (888-242-3837) but many of the best codes are no longer accepted on-line. I believe that EBP still works on the phone.

Also, Columbia House may have changed its policy to allow only one open account at a time. Cycling two accounts at a time may no longer be possible. Whether CH will allow cycling of even one account remains to be seen.

I'm in the same boat now. I've tried 7 apps. All came back with a letter saying I'm not approved.

I have one open account. Now, looking at the T's and C's...
We must limit memberships to one per person, per club
But I think it's always said that hasn't it?

I guess I'll have to cancel my open account and/or call to see whats up.

Let me add.... if they would give a REASON on the card, this at least would be acceptable as to know what one would need to do for approval on the next application.

And.......... with Blockbuster doing the 3 for $20, I don't mind a used dvd. As much as I love a great deal, and I'll go far to save a buck, I'm really wanting some new enrollments as its been months since my last app was done.

Maybe I'll just cancel my open account and if I can't get approved after that, then I'll be frequenting BlockB for deals and looking in the bargain bins and the bargain forum to find what I need. I can't ever see paying more than $10 a disc though, that would ruin me. HAHA.

I think they're really enforcing that one account per club thing.

I had five or six apps in a row get "lost" while I had my last account open. I closed the account last week, applied yesterday, and got an approval this morning. Coincidence? Maybe, but at least I can take advantage of the new BOGO codes.

No, this limit of one account is new and didn't appear in the terms mailed out with accounts last year. That's why many of us think it is "real".

Okay.
I thought it had said one per person, but you could have 2 per ADDRESS. My mistake.

Closed account. Will enroll again and lets see what happens.
