For the Anime fan, the final volume(volume 6) of Burst Angel is now available.
Also, I highly recommend The Memory of a Killer. It's a great flick and a very nice DVD.

They were released a week apart, so look for Dog Day Afternoon next week.

Thanks for the list grivet. Now 2 out of the 3 controversial classics are available (Network and All the President's Men) for enrollment. Hopefully Dog Day Afternoon will follow soon.

Edit: Sorry. I didn't refresh my browser before posting. Nevermind.

Wouldn't it be available on the 21st though if it's on schedule, and not before?

The rest of the June 21st titles have already become available for enrollment. June 25th and June 28th titles should become available by next Monday, June 26. The two, three, and six month enrollment dates are approximations; they generally become available on Monday of the week that the "hold" expires. Rather than use a calendar to try to figure it out for each "not yet available" DVD, I just add two, three, or six months to the release date and list that.

While it is possible that Stalag 17 would become available on Wednesday, in my experience it isn't likely.

Sometimes once just isn't enough. On the other hand

The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold 4350302

is now available for enrollment.

I'm somewhat surprised to see Memoirs of a Geisha show given its $24.95 regular price, but I guess Sony didn't have a lot of choice since there's no barebones edition to fob off. I'm sure they'll figure it out eventually like all the other studios.

^Yes, the SE only titles seem to become available for enrollment and those that also have single disc editions don't, at least not immediately.

Makes a certain amount of sense from the point of view of Columbia House, even if we here don't like it much. Draw in customers with cheapo enrollment editions and then get them to spend extra on SEs.

Yes, I checked several times earlier this morning and it wasn't up yet, to my surprise. Until now I have assumed that enrollment selection for these titles is automated. But it appears that there is a person trolling away at Columbia House manually updating the database!

That would explain some things. As an example, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is now available for enrollment but A Streetcar Named Desire is not. Both were Warner releases on 5/2. I'm wondering if some of those Never-Available-For-Enrollment (Amadeus, Starship Troopers, etc.) were just missed by said troll?

Perhaps, but maybe not. You didn't cite a good example.

COAHTR is an MGM acquired title,so it should have been available this week.
ASND is an original Warner title and should become available on 7/31/06 or 8/7/06. (The 3 month period falls on a wednesday, and I'm never quite sure about these, but I think it will come a little early on 7/31.)

^Yes, the reason I had 8/2/06 down for both "Streetcar" and "Cat" is because I don't try to figure out which Warner titles in the "Not Yet Available" list are former MGM titles. But I try to check all titles in two months if grivet hasn't already done so.

"Streetcar" should become available on 7/31, as you say. The titles seem to become available for enrollment on the Monday of the week that the two, three, or six month delay expires.
