Hammer Horror @ $19.95 - Is it Worth It?
I'm considering getting this as one of the B1G1 offers. However... I see that they have 9 movies on two discs.
Anyone bought this? How bad is the transfer/sound quality? I like old horror, but that amount on two double-sided discs is really pushing the limits...

I thought about getting it myself because of the B1G1, but decided against it for the reason that it is two dvd-18's and made by Universal which issues lots of problems with these type of discs (ala The Legacy Collection Monster Sets). DVD Savant does recommend it in his review though, and they probably do look good, and would be worth it if it will play in your player. I just don't trust Universal anymore, I expected my player would have issues with this, so I didn't chance it.

Thanks basaro! I may give it a try. Luckily, my player plays most anything. I have the Legacy sets and haven't noticed the ones I've watched so far freezing up or pixellating much.
I know that lots and lots of people had trouble with Space: Above and Beyond, but surprisingly it played without a glitch on mine, so I will probably risk the Hammer...
