Okay based on the revival of the older raincheck thread I know what to do with mine the question is where the heck is mine? I finally received shipment of my enrollments for my recent whacked out new CH account - you know the recent issue with new accounts showing up as fulfilled, etc. Apparently, one of the holdups was that Scarface unfortunately one of my selections (Scarface Anniversary Edition) is out of stock so the invoice states that a raincheck certificate has been enclosed with the other DVDs.

Well I have searched high and low through everything in the packaging and no certificate. On the invoice to the right of Scareface there is a code but I am not sure if that just indicates it is out of stock or whether that is the actual raincheck code. Any clues? I am assuming that is supposed to be a physical raincheck since the other thread mentions sending it in. I plan on fulfilling with the current B2G2 fulfillment offer prior to the 24th and want to get this account straightened out. I just down't want to get burned by CH on one of my enrollments.

I also ordered Scarface for enrollment and had the same problem - there was a certificate with mine, though. I didn't bother to use it, since other people have said they've e-mailed in their requests to [email protected]. Today I sent an e-mail requesting another movie..we'll see how that goes. I don't think it will matter if you got a certificate or not - if you e-mail or call in, they should be able to see if Scarface has been sent to you or not and send a replacement if not. Just trying dropping them a line with your account # and selection # of the movie you want instead.

bloozeman, did the order card that came with the package have a notation in pencil? If so that was a last minute warehouse change and you will need to call and request a replacement title.

In general, rainchecks don't need the piece of paper that (usually) accompanies an order. There should be a notation on the account that Columbia House owes you one more enrollment DVD, all you have to do is call them up and request it (sometimes the title deleted is back in stock and can be reordered). The exception is when the warehouse drops a title. Then there may not be an entry in your account records and you will need to explain what happened. I have had this happen, as have others here.

Just so everyone knows Scarface isn't out of stock. They are no longer selling it. I had the same problem a few weeks back and called them up about it. Luckily I caught it before my order had shipped and they replaced it with another title.

That's kind of what it sounded like from the note I got, but it was the first time this has happened to me so I wasn't sure. I really wish they would keep their website up-to-date....especially when it's such a popular title. I see now that they have it on the website, but listed as full-screen. I don't remember if the one before had Widescreen listed in the title or not.

Thanks everyone for the info. My invoice card states that I can redeem my raincheck certificate (even though it is missing in action ;)) for "any Club selection priced at $29.95 or below". I know from the other thread this generally translates into only titles available for enrollment. So I figure I'll give them a call and see if I can get Batman Begins DE as a replacement. Too bad about them no longer carrying the Scarface AE because I was hoping to get it later when it was back in stock.
