Question

I have a fufilled account..

I got a email from columbia house, Its the 'checkout sale and save' I get 10% discount off of my order if I check out today.

Whats the best way to get my monies worth with this 10% discount?

FYI: The code is 809254 (also posted this code in the "list of all offer codes" thread)

Although not as beneficial as the current BOGOF offers, this code may be useful for Pre-Orders on Preferred Member accounts.

Example:

21.95 - regular price for most new releases

19.95 - regular Pre-Order price for 21.95 titles
02.00 - subtract 10% discount
17.95 - subtotal
00.99 - add preferred member shipping
18.94 - total cost for a 21.95 priced selection

While this is not the best deal around....every dollar helps.

The most accurate answer would be "Ignore it, close your account and open another one." Once a CH account is fulfilled, there is rarely any offer that will give you DVD's for a better price than the average of a new account cycle. Occasionally there is an anomaly, like "buy two for $14" that stacks with a BOGO, lowering the per DVD price to ~$4.50, but even that is more than a new account with the current BOGO w/free shipping will yield.

If by chance you want the impossible to find friends the complete 10 seasons box set which nobody has and columbia house does. You can save 20 dollars on it. That what I did. But otherwise the proceeding post is sage advice.

I tried it and it actually stacks with the b1g1. Might be good to use if your total is over $50 other wise you could use the $5 webdvd discount.

I got an email saying 10% off with a link. I assumed it was just a code offer, but when I clicked on the link, I entered the b1g1 code and when I checked my cart the 10% off was still there.

I got this deal as well, it appeared to be because I had items in my cart. Maybe leaving items in your cart triggers it?
