I'm on my second now that I noticed there's offer codes to be used. I never knew this before. Have you ever been denied enrollment on the basis of having too many accounts in the past?

I've only had about 10, but I only recently found this site as well. I'm on a mission to catch up to Scotty and Bill.
I've never had a problem opening an account, but then again I've never had more than a few accounts at a time. The only problems I've ever had is with the occasional "lost" application.

Probably 35 or so.
The first 30 I churned through at a rapid rate (2-3 a month). I've slowed way down now. There was a while (6 months to a year, not sure anymore) where I and others on this board had many, many accounts that didn't get through (never got denied, they just disappeared) but before and since mine have all gone through just fine.

More than 75 for me in the regular DVD club plus some others in the TV Edition and the old TV subscription clubs. And one CH.com account.
In answer to the second question, yes, like many here I have been turned down for accounts or had my applications "lost" many times over the years. Columbia House seems to have changed its approval process because I find it easier to get approved nowadays. In the past, I have been turned down for new accounts because I already had two open accounts and have received letters to this effect. But most of the unsuccessful applications just disappeared without a trace for unknown reasons. Phone applications had a perfect acceptance rate for me.
Why CH lets us open unlimited accounts is a subject of much discussion around here. I am just glad that they do.

I just submitted a fourth application this morning. If this one gets lost, I'm going to try and call an application in.

Sheesh, you guy have really stuck it to the man. How can they even turn a profit? Seems at about $5-6 a DVD end user cost, they're losing $5 for each DVD sold. But I suppose the deal seekers make up a small portion of their actual costumers so they're probably making a killing off joe six pack when he buys his 5 fulfillment titles.

Would you happen to be using the same mailing address on all 4/5 accounts?

Well of course. I only have 1 home
They all have the same address....same name...there are 2 credit cards I use to buy my movies and all accounts have the same 2. They all used the same cc upon signing up too. Like I said before, you can have as many as you want. They hardly ever limit you to a certain amount of accounts. That deal that popped up about fulfilling and getting so many free...once I get those from one of my accounts I'm cancelling that one and completely on the others. Then I'm going to do just 1 at a time. It's a lot easier.
