It's a Wonderful Life - FREE!!! (just pay s/h + tax, using B1G1F code)

this should probably be in the deal of the day thread but, when i put its a wonderful life in my basket from the deal of the day ad on the checkout page, it comes up free!!! the ad says reg 19.95 which has a slash through it with no other price....someone in the DOD thread said it was 4.95, but mine said free....savings of 19.95....shipping 99 cents!!! don't know if it matters, but i had the B1G1 code punched in and was messing around with different titles....eventually i deleted everything except wonderful life and it remained free....go figure !!!!

okay it must be related to the b1g1 code listed in this thread:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=426250

when i first log on it says 4.95....after i punch in the code it has no price and once in basket it is free....

If you put It's A Wonderful Life in your cart and then add a $14.95 movie, the $14.95 movie will ring up as free and It's A Wonderful Life will ring up as 4.95, making the whole order 4.95. I got It's A Wonderful Life and Jerry Maguire for $6.97 after shipping.

It makes me wonder if taking advantage of these site glitches increases your chance of getting blacklisted.

Well, it's not like we are circumventing the system here, like the "creative" tv app orders were. After putting in the code, we are simply putting two dvds into our cart that we want to purchase. However it wants to spin us a total is up to them. About the blacklist part, I would hope not, as I have participated in nearly every one...

That is unfortunate I missed out on another free DVD, I just put in It's a Wonderful Life with another order at about 5 am figuring that was good as it was going to get. Oh well still a good deal.

How did you get $4 funcash (instead of the normal $2)?

He's talking about if you order a $14.95 title with It's A Wonderful Life.

Thanks, got it. I thought maybe there was a double funcash code I wasn't aware of.

Thanks for the tip! I got IAWL and another movie (plus $4 funcash) for about $7 also. Almost went for IAWL by itself for $1 but couldn't pass up the second disc.

Are people who got in on this having their orders show up correctly? Maybe this is what an order looks like always after it is first placed, but all of the finicial data about my order (cost of each discs, tax, shipping) is showing up as asterisks instead of the actual cost. Should I be concerned?

I will be concerned a little, I have 2 instances when this caused problem. Is the order number showing "to be assigned" - then there is real problem. I have seen in such cases some CSR places order for you again and normally charges wrong prices.

Well, I ordered a second copy of IAWL (which I can always give as a present) along with a different free DVD in case the first order doesn't work out.

me too.. my first order for just the dvd plus s/h & tax still shows TBA and *** for everything, but the second order for the dvd + a 14.95 title shows the correct dollar amount $7.XX and the $4 FC was already credited to me.

I placed a total of 3 orders with IAWL on them, and all of them are showing the *** values. If the prices I ordered at don't show up, think there's any chance of a CSR correcting them for me?

I really doubt a CSR would help you with that, especially since you ordered 3. The orders with the asterisks will either work themselves out or they won't.

The order that I placed that shows up with asterisks was a "bill me later" order. When I placed the second order (which shows up fine), I billed it directly to my credit card. This may be a co-incidence, but it's the only differences between the two of which I'm aware.

This also happened to me, but when I hit the refresh button it shows the correct ($4.95) price.
