DVDs from Anchor Bay Entertainment?

I know they don't do/are phasing out of Fox and Universal -

Do they carry Anchor Bay DVDs?

I'm dying to get THE PIRATE MOVIE when it's released next week, and was hoping they would carry it. Could not locate it.

Just curious. Please don't hurt me...

I know that they carry some Anchors. The most recent ones that I've noticed are TO THE DEVIL--A DAUGHTER with Christopher Lee and the great Euling Studios classic DEAD OF NIGHT in two-disc set with QUEEN OF SPADES, another British horror classic.

I picked up the first season of "The Greatest American Hero" through CH and that was an Anchor Bay release.

CH does have Anchor Bay titles. It's too soon to tell if they'll add The Pirate Movie. They may add it on release day or later, or they may never get it. It may depend on it's ability to sell, and this title may not do so well, maybe they're on the fence about getting it. CH doesn't get every new title released from every studio, maybe this will be one of those?

I think I've heard about The Pirate Movie. Isn't it rated R or something?

Quite the opposite.
It's a REALLY cheesy movie/musical from the 80's -
featuring Christie McNichol and Christopher Atkins

I loved it as a kid - I'm sure I may think twice once I get it...but it's one of those that I gotta have!

Dutch, another AB title starring Ed O'neill is not up for pre-order either (comes out on tuesday). I am playing the waiting game myself for this title. Just have to wait and see.

Are you positive? Not that I doubt you, but I had March 8th as the original release date, then I saw that it was listed as March 22 at a few retailers and I think it was in a Cameron post here too. What resource do you use for definitive release dates? Either way, I hope CH gets it soon, or it's 8.99 @ ddd for me.

Yes sir, you are 100% correct, wish I stuck with my original info

I just got back from Best Buy, they had it for 9.99. Didn't get it though, still holding out for CH. I don't think it looks good though, as it is also a Fox title being released by AB. This might also be a contract issue, not sure.
