Just got this one in email.

Couple of things to point out.
1. It seems not to work for boxsets. Atleast at the moment.
2. It ends Sunday.

I have been waiting for one of these.. Thanks a ton Big Worms. Took advantage quickly... Got all Pre-Orders and used my $5 discount for first order.

Undertow 35818 Pending $14.95 (This is supposed to be $19.95, I am a bit worried how it randomly changed like that on me after I placed my order but hopefully it works out alright, probably a fun call to CH sometime as usual.)
Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia 36005 Pending $8.95
The Big Red One Special Edition 38192 Pending $19.95

Subtotal $43.85

The $14.95 price reflects the $5 webdvd coupon you used, so you should be fine. It shouldn't affect your fulfillment status.

This code says DVDs are "at 50% off" but the prices in the cart seem to relfect "up to 50% off."

When using this code, the $21.95 titles show as $11.97 in my cart, but the prices on the main page show $10.98.

If I sign into my account w/o the email link, I get the $10.98 price in my cart, but no free shipping -- and yes, (to reference my previous post) the free shipping CH gave me has yet to show up online after 2 weeks!

Any ideas on the strange pricing?

Too bad you can't use both this and the free dvd code

Has anyone tried to get the supposed free shipping on Thursdays phone deal yet?

Adrenaline 03-10-05 10:58 AM

Just email them and tell them, "I recieved an email this Morning saying I would get free shipping until Sunday, yet I was charged $X.XX amount for shipping. Why was that?"

You'll get a refund on your shipping.

TheDave123 03-10-05 11:02 AM

Is it better to do this by email versus phone?
I have tried over the phone to get the free shipping adjustment and they usually re-enter the whole order.
During this double funcash period, my fun cash ended up being the regular $2 per DVD when they fixed my shipping over the phone.

Adrenaline 03-10-05 12:08 PM

I always deal with these issues via email, I just just a credit on my debit card 2 or 3 days later.

drh4 03-10-05 03:09 PM

For me, this code gives free shipping for single titles, but not for ANY box sets.

This is on a brand new, unfulfilled account.

Anyone else having this problem?

Same here, I tried a few singles, then one box, then another boxset, and nada.

If your total is over $50, might as well just call up today for free shipping Thursdays this month.

Big Worms 03-10-05 04:02 PM

Read my first post. I said that it does not work with boxsets. What is dumb is that the deal says "get FREE SHIPPING with ANY online order". I am sure that if you placed your order and called them up they would fix it.

I just tried calling up with a boxset, and they waived shipping with the code (the rep said it was a one day offer) but I wouldn't be able to use the $5 webdvd discount unless I order online (other reps have told me I can use it over the phone).

drh4 03-10-05 11:40 PM

"get FREE SHIPPING with ANY online order" is what confused me too, Big Worms. I just placed the order online, and sent an email saying please remove the shipping. We'll see...

Adrenaline 03-11-05 06:22 AM

I got email this Morning about an order with the B1G1+4 for $29.95 (effectively $22), they said I'll get a $3.96 credit for the shipping costs.

diid they remove the shiping?

TheDave123 03-11-05 11:23 AM

Anyone been able to figure out why the prices are 50% off when using the free shipping code, but then appear at a more expensive "sale price" in the cart?

I'm experiencing this on a fulfilled account, and the deal says "at 50% off" not up to.

ANY5546 03-14-05 12:02 AM

Thanks! I've been looking for one of these!

mr_jbloggs 03-14-05 02:31 PM

Thanks OP! I sent CH an email (thru the site) that I had 3 orders (which were from the b1g1 free / 2/$18 sale combination) for which I entered the free s/h code but was still charged. Today I get an email from them saying they apologize and that have credited my account for the s/h on those three orders.

I wasn't expecting this but thought it was worth a try and now I'm glad I did.

drh4 03-14-05 03:53 PM

iconoclasm, I got an email yesterday saying that the offer didn't apply to box sets. So I called the regular 800-262-2001 number just now, explained to the CSR that they HAD referred to ANY order in the offer, and she credited the $15 shipping.

drh4 03-14-05 03:54 PM

I don't understand how some of you are getting credit for shipping on the B1G1F offer, since the codes weren't supposed to stack. Did you just try to see if you could get a CSR to make an exception for you?

I've been thinking about emailing about that since I received 2 of the free shipping emails, but what if they figure out that I'm getting the dvds cheaper than intended & cancel my orders? If you got it though, I'm thinking I should give it a try. Thank you for letting us know. However I had more than 3 orders. Did anyone else who had like 10 or more orders try this?

Same boat here. I placed 14 orders for 28 total DVDs, so if it would be possible to get a $27.72 credit I would go for it. I don't want to cause a problem, though, because the deal was already sweet.

Exactly. Unless there is a "legitimate" reason for claiming this (i.e., that these discounts were intended to be stackable), I wouldn't want to overdo a good thing.

I did 30+ orders and now have $280 in FC. That qualifies as robbing them blind already. :)

Emma311 03-14-05 10:26 PM

I was thinking the same thing you guys were. It was already a great deal, so it might not be wise to bring it up.

Adrenaline 03-15-05 02:23 AM

I recieved my $3.98 credit yesterday :)
