First, thank you for this awesome thread.

Second, I wanted to add my recent sign-ups / confirmations to the list:

- Sign-up 1 : Monday Jan 31st - used HDL code - standard selections chosen (Freaks&Geeks and Saved By the Bell 1&2) - got confirmation e-mail on the 1st (less than 24 hours).

- Sign-up 2 : Monday Jan 31st (about an hour after the first) - used HDL code and added a "creative" item (A&E romance collection for GF) and a standard selection (Saved by the Bell 3&4) - just received confirmation e-mail (less than 48 hours).

I'll update when the enrollments arrive, but the "creative" order process seemed to work well for me. Just thought I'd add my recent experience and thanks again!

Used HDL online last Monday for Babylon 5 seasons 4&5, using a Gmail account, got approved Wednesday, received the discs Saturday.

Used HDL online again this past Sunday, using the exact same Gmail account, got approved today for Star Trek: TOS seasons 1&2. I expect I'll get my enrollments by the end of the week.

Today I'm going to order my fulfillments for the first account and then when they arrive close it. I don't know if I'll re-join again so quickly but maybe if they let me get a movie boxed set rather than a TV series set.

Has anyone had luck getting a comparably priced set of movies, like the Scorsese collection or the Film Noir collection?

I applied using my second creative order on Monday, still haven't heard anything.

Hopefully I will soon, or I'll try again next week.

I was just approved for my 4th account (two at home, two at my PO BOX) and I selected the Avengers box set and one of the Are You Being Served collections.

I have had 3 accounts approved so far, all HDL. I applied for the 4th on Friday, got a "thanks for applying email" & a $1 temp charge that has since dissappeared. Have heard nothing else on this one. I applied for another account yesterday using a different email address. I got the $1 temp charge and "thanks for applying email." Hopefully this one will go through. I am checking my bank account every hour or so in anticipation of a $9.95 charge.

If I can't get another account to go through on the web I guess I will have to call one in. Does HDL work over the phone?

From what email address did your approval come from? I noticed that the emails for my approved account came from addresses at [email protected] while the email on an account that's in limbo came from tvclub_customer_service@ columbiahouse.com. I'm wondering if that's any indication of whether an account will be approved.

I have been approved/charged for 2 orders so far. One was Monty Python's Flying Circus and Black Adder; the other was The Prisoner and Homicide Season 4.

I didn't get one. But the charge is on my CC. The only ones I received were the "Thank you for your application... order processed, awaiting approval..yada, yada, yada" from tvclub_customer_service@ columbiahouse.com

We should probably not always use the HDL code and mix in more of the HJ6 since they are of the same terms.

Yes. I got the James Bond Collection Volume 1 & 2 -- both with about $100 value on Amazon. CH doesn't carry Volume 3 anymore, so it looks like I'll be stopping at 1 & 2 -- not that I'm complaining

This deal is aboslutely insane. I'd put in the top 3 DVD deals of all time. So far I've gotten 4 boxsets with a total MSRP of $570 for about $83 (pro-rated to reflect a $6 price for each of my 6 fulfillments).

Been on site since 1999, first post. How do you get codes? I've been trying to use codes from columbia site but they don't seem to work.

Looking for codes for Friday the 13th, Nightmare of Elm Street, and Bergman collections.

Or for that matter, if anyone would like to post a link for me with Black Adder and/or Monty Python in their cart, I would appreciate it (taken from the Voyager link a couple pages back). Thanks.

If you have a working CH account already, you find all the ItemID codes for sets you want by clicking on the set, then looking for the numbers that follow ItemID in the URL, which are different from the catalog #s.

Black Adder Complete Collectors Set Item ID 1623125
Monty Python Megaset Item ID 1707640

One set people might be interested in (and seems to work) is the 'Best Picture Oscar Collection': 1751330. It's 18 very good movies and goes for $140 on Amazon. Description on Amazon

I've not received this yet, but it allows me to place the order without a hitch.

One more to add is 'Coupling Seasons 1 thru 4': 1744343.

Enjoy!
