I fulfilled an account about two hours before this email was posted. Oh well, at least I was able to use the bonus funcash code.

Thanks Zutton. I just fulfilled by placing two separate orders using this code. Order #1-Heat Special Edition; Sky Captain; Bourne Supremacy for $34.88 shipped using the $5 web coupon. Order #2-Get Shorty Special Edition; Raging Bull Special Edition for $26.43 shipped. Add the $10.55 for my two box set enrollments and my total for seven titles is $71.86(an average of $10.26 per title with two of them being big box sets). Too bad they do not have free shipping right now, but I am certainly not complaining.

OK Zutton, I see what you mean. I suppose free shipping w/no minimum is rare enough, so I might as well just buy the extra DVD.

Still, I just don't want to buy something if I don't have to. I have too many DVDs as it is.

Thanks for pointing out the discount appears just before the total and not in the title listing. I must have missed that yesterday.

I haven't placed an order yet - still trying to figure out what I want to do - but I was able to add the Hoosiers CE pre-order and The Notebook and get The Notebook for free. The Notebook is a little strange since it's not out yet, but has a sale price of $10.98 unlike other pre-orders.

Thank you Zutton! Here I was, patiently waiting for the next free shipping offer and you found this...

Had to fuss with it a little but I got it to count two pre-orders as my fulfillments plus a $19.95 title for free. I noticed that in the cart it listed the $19.95 title at half price, but in the totals at the bottom of the page the half price was subtracted, making it free. After checkout the $19.95 title was listed as free and my $5 discount was applied to the first DVD, as usual.

Anyway, I ordered:
3556107 Chariots of Fire: SE ($19.95 pre-order, 2-1-05)
3587003 The Philadelphia Story: SE ($19.95 pre-order, 3-1-05)
3423704 Top Gun: SE $19.95 (free)

Subtotal: $34.90
Shipping: $6.97
Tax: $1.22
Total: $43.09

Not bad. Slightly cheaper than it would have been with "free shipping for three" and I got to pick a more valuable "third". Add in the two box sets I got for the $10.24 (tax in my state) enrollment and this was a pretty cheap membership:
2 box sets
2 pre-order SEs
1 additional SE
for $53.33

This sale ends on 1/29/05 (12:01 am)
Does this mean it ends tonight at midnight or Saturday night at midnight?

I did a fulfillment order a few days ago, two 19.95 titles with the webdvd $5 discount. I just called a CSR and asked for the free DVD retroactively. Gave her the code, and she's shipping me out a third 19.95 title free (without any extra shipping charges, to boot).

Btw, this was the second CSR I spoke to; the first one wasn't willing to do it. A little perseverence pays off.

Thanks Zutton! I just received my enrollment earlier this week and was able to fulfill it today.

Fulfillment #1 was West Side Story - 2 disk version; Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; and Open Your Eyes - with the $5 web coupon total was $38.16.

Fulfillment #2 was Collateral / Minority Report- 2 pack and Leon: Ultimate Edition for $29.89.

With my enrollment using BE7, I was able to pick up 12 DVDs for $81.32 (ave. price = $6.78)

he is talking about the TV club.

They wouldn't let me use the webdvd coupon AND get the free disc. Oh well. Free disc sounded better.

I'm confused about what titles work with this offer.

Pre-order "Chariots of Fire" does work, but not "Heat." Very strange...any rhyme or reason? Or is there some secret sequence?

More generally, is there an MSRP above which this won't go? What about cheaper box sets?

It would be nice to get free a title that won't be available for enrollment...is this possible?

(BTW, I'm using a regular membership, and want to get Matrix Ultimate and one free title.)

Thanks in advance...

if the B1G1Free is multiuse, wouldn't it have been better to order the 2 cartoon seperatly and get 2 free dvds? shipping would have been a little more though.

Thanks. Just fulfilled my 3-day old account with:

The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch (Pre-Order, 3/1/05) $19.95
Superman: The Animated Series - Volume One $20.21 -$5
Hellboy Special Edition FREE

Total of $35.16 plus 6.97 s/h and 2.95 tax = $45.08

Yes...it can be used twice...I just did it because when I opened up my TV account I had accidentally used the 2/4 code not the 2/2 code. So on my first order I ordered a $40 (2 fullfillment) item plus a free DVD with the $5 discount. Then I logged out and immediately ordered my second $40 (2 fulfillment) item plus the free DVD...but of course no $5 discount on the second order.

Both orders have already been acknowledged by CH.

Maybe I'm doing this wrong. Can it be 1 pre-order with 1 set? I can't get it to work this way.

After a long time working with the Web ordering department, I finally got B1G1 free, plus two cheap DVDs at 50% off to bring it past $30 for the $5 web discount, then I got the CSR to double the fun cash to 8, and she will also be waiving the $8.96 shipping fee. I had to place the order myself to get the web discount, then she adjusted the other stuff at her end once the order came through. That's a big woo-hoo.

Shrek 2 3299203 $16.95
The Manchurian Candidate 3432804 Free
10 0001107 $4.98
The Yearling 0264903 $6.48

Subtotal $28.41

Shipping & Processing $8.96

Tax $2.71

Total $40.08

FWIW, I spoke with them on the phone and "sally" said the free promotion doesn't work on super new releases.

These were both pre-orders, but Coupling series 4 would not work because it has a "special price."

BTW, when I placed this order I received $6 in Fun Cash instead of $2 or $3 for some reason. I couldn't replicate that with any other combination.

So "special price" titles don't work...what other ones don't/do work? They offered me no info on this online...

I'm having a similar problem as others (can't find a combination of 3 titles so that 2 of them count as fullfillments and the 3rd is free). I don't usually call CH on the weekends. Is it worth trying to do that or should I wait until Monday? Are the "web specialists" available on weekends?

Thanks everyone for all the "Thank you"s in the thread so far!

Combinations of three which should work include:

2 19.95+ pre-orders and one in stock title for free
2 "Special" price items and and in-stock title for free
1 "Special" and one pre-order plus an in-stock for free

It does not like giving pre-orders for free.

Also note that the total in the order summary section will list a price for the free title, and that at the bottom the discount in the order summary will refelct the price of the free title.
