On another thread we noticed the free shipping, for seemingly even a single $7.95 DVD, but this is the official announcement, although the ends on date is odd.

I suppose it could it could really mean 1/03/05, which is a Monday. Do their special deals usually end on a Monday? I think they might (just before the next release day).

Check it out: The website now shows "free shipping for 3 or more" on the standard offer sign-up page (and all better offers, I assume). It says to check the "details page" for details, but it doesn't mention the free shipping on the details page. Still. . . .

Call them up, brother. They should refund your shipping [assuming you did buy three, of course].

Yep, even a single selection - either regular movie -or- a box set. No 3 titles needed.

Now, if I could get a 50-60% off sale without having to purchase one @ regular price. :D

Or, perhaps it could be a typo for 11/03/04 or 12/03/04. But 1/03/05 does seem to be the most likely. Columbia House typically has free shipping before Christmas to encourage DVD buying for gifts.

It is curious that they haven't sent around an e-mail, thus far, touting the free shipping promotion.

I received an email this morning with the free shipping graphic in it. It didn't make a big deal about the free shipping though as has been the case in the past.

Edited the thread name to reflect free shipping through the end of the year (and removed the question mark) based on evidence that this is the case.

Yup. Done.

The details on the CH website have been changed to show the date as 01/03/05. So it's officially through the end of the year.
