You have to make sure you start a new browser every time u change the codes. You were probably still seeing the details for a previous code u entered.

The $5 web coupon is good for your first online order of $30 or more. All you have to do is to login at columbiahouse.com/webdvd and the $5 coupon will be deducted as soon as you have at least $30 of DVDs in your cart.

Does that mean your first order per account , or can it only be used only one time per customer?

First order per account. Most of us have used it many times.

I tried applying via phone yesterday with C7W and K7L and was told that both of these were invalid offer codes. I hung up and called back and applied with LMT with no problem. Are C7W and K7L web only codes?

May I ask why you didn't use one of the codes that would have given you a 6th movie for $0.49 and a 7th for $9.95? If you did, then you would have gotten 11 DVDs for $48.79= for an average of $4.44.

Nope..I bought only one more (to get free shipping and handling)

then with that one more...I get another free.

So in the end..I am only paying for 2 dvds, getting 2 free dvds AND free shipping and handling.

But you posted that you bought 2 at full price - Back To The Future and Star Trek 2. Using a different code that gave you a 6th for $0.49 and a 7th for $9.95, you would have actually gotten 1 more DVD for almost $5 less.

It's just 2 fulfillments if you get the $9.95 title when you sign up. You bought 2 items that would have counted as fulfillments (1 more than you needed), that's why you can do even better next time (assuming they have B1G1 then).

How do you determine the cost for a set with your method? For example, how much would you break down my most recent order?

Star Trek Generations Special 1 selection $0.49
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered 1 selection $0.49
Star Trek: The Motion Picture 1 selection $0.49
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home 1 selection $0.49
Star Trek III: The Search for 1 selection $0.49
Star Trek V: The Final Frontie 1 selection $0.49
Star Trek: First Contact Speci 1 selection $9.95
Order Total: $12.89

Stargate Sg-1: Season 7 33491 Pending $32.46
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Deluxe Edition 42507 Pending $0.00
Total $42.44

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan the Director's Edition 27417 Pending $0.00
Back to the Future: The Complete Trilogy 27573 Pending $20.96
Total $28.94

Total=84.27

I would add up the costs of a minimum order:
$12.89 intro package
$19.95 x 2 = $39.90 for 2 fulfillments
$4.98 x 2 = $9.96 shipping

Total = $62.75 Average for 11 DVDs = $5.70

Then figure what each order cost over the minimum:
1st order $42.44 - $ 24.93(minimum cost) = $17.51
So cost of Stargate Sg-1 = $5.70 + 17.51 = $23.21

2nd order $28.94 - $24.93 = $4.01
Cost of BttF = $5.70 + $4.01 = $9.71

Thanks, helps me not feel too bad about spending the extra money on Stargate. Now I just need to keep myself from signing up again. Is the free shipping deal that happened pretty much a one time thing? Too bad I missed out.

Free shipping is usually offered about 3-4 times a year.

While it doesn't change the fact that you got an excellent deal, I would calculate the cost of the higher priced fulfillments a little differently than Jim did.

First, a standard 7:2 account, such as you have, would break down with minimum fulfillments like this:
Enrollment: 6 x 49¢ + $9.95 = $12.89 (7 DVDs)
Fulfillment: 2 x $19.95 + $4.98 (shipping) - $5 (web discount) = $39.88 (2 DVDs)
Total cost: $12.89 + $39.88 = $52.77 (9 DVDs)
Average DVD cost: $52.77/9 = $5.8633

Your fulfillments included two sets and two DVD editions that aren't available for enrollment. Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan: DE could have been purchased as a fulfillment for $19.95, so it can be had for $5.86 like an enrollment. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: DE seems to be priced at $24.95, $5 more than the $19.95 minimum, so I would value it at $5.86 + $5 = $10.86. The Back to the Future set could be purchased as a fulfillment for $20.96 (on your account; it is less on mine), a $1.01 excess cost over $19.95, so I would value it at $5.86 + $1.01 = $6.87. The rest of the excess membership cost I would apply to the Stargate SG-1: Season 7 set. The valuations would work out like this:
Enrollment: 6 x 49¢ + $9.95 = $12.89 (7 DVDs)
Fulfillment: $42.44 + $28.94 = $71.38 (2 DVDs + 2 sets)
Total cost: $12.89 + $71.38 = $84.27 (9 DVDs + 2 sets)
Relative cost of the Stargate set: $84.27 - ((7 x $5.86) + $5.86 (WoK) + $10.86 (CatCF) + $6.87 (BttF)) = $84.27 - $64.61 = $19.66 (Stargate)

Kind of a complicated way of looking at it but that's because your fulfillment order was complex.

My 2¢.
