How many Columbia House accounts have you had?

grrrah told me that he's on his 16th account and that he's not as bad as some other people here. If he doesn't think 16 is bad, I'm curious to see how many accounts some people have had.

Me, on my first account. :o:D

i'll be doing #s 22 and 23 in the next week or so....in a little over a year. I usually do one or two a month, and step it up during AOS/Free Shipping.....I do recall hearing a few names around here that have done well over 100 though.....

Copenhagen 09-15-03 10:13 PM

9...I haven't done one in quite awhile.

D.Pham5GLTE (>60GB) 09-15-03 10:18 PM

somewhere around 15 here.

KennyBoy 09-15-03 10:53 PM

29 That I still have records of, so I'd bet 50+

the big train 09-15-03 10:59 PM

I'm about to start my sixth.

I can't go through accounts as fast as others because I almost always fulfill with pre-orders.

KennyBoy 09-15-03 11:10 PM

yeah that has been my problem for the last couple months, I have really slowed down.

bga 09-15-03 11:57 PM

I have my own domain, so I keep track of which account I'm up to by appending my account number to the end of the email address. I've slowed down too, mostly because I've been buying expensive sets and/or cheap DVDs at Walmart. Now I expect to start buying more at CH again, with 2-3 accounts per month.

DVD Polizei 09-16-03 12:07 AM

I try to avoid pre-orders when doing fulfillment accounts. They can really screw my system up. :D

Ginwen 09-16-03 12:11 AM

26 since I found this forum, 1 DVD account before that (I've also had video and CD and even record accounts, but I didn't count those).

ANY5546 09-16-03 01:03 AM

just finished #8 :)

stebop 09-16-03 02:27 AM

counting CH CD Club, 4. without it.. 2.

Unfortunately I lost the file where I kept track of all my accounts sometime last year and I was between 150 and 175 at the time. I'd estimate that I'm around 250 right now, but that's probably a little low. :) And I know there are people on here who've gone through more accounts than I!

Holy crap, that's freakin' amazing. Had I known that there would be people with so many past accounts, I would have changed the options in the poll to reflect 100+ or 200+.

About 25 over the past 3 years. Currently doing one per month.

P.S. I use the same username and password all the time, simply adding month/year, such as xxxxxaug03, this month xxxxxsep03, etc.

stebop 09-16-03 09:06 AM

that's a good advice!!! yeah. i'm running out of username with all the accounts i've had myself.

DVD Polizei 09-16-03 10:12 AM

JonTurner,

We need to start a 250+ club. :D

Qui-Gon John 09-16-03 10:36 AM

I'm at around 24. Not exactly sure because it took a couple accounts to get my naming convention straight. All this since my first one back in Feb with CY4D.

danicus007 09-16-03 11:21 AM

I've had about 65 accounts in the past 1½ years.

What happened to all the dvds from those 250 accounts with under 1000 in your collection?

skidmark 09-16-03 11:57 AM

Waiting on enrollment package number 16 here. All of these since the 5 for $25 HSN deal (was it really just last December?)

Been slowing down over the summer, but want to have open memberships loaded for the next AOS/Free Ship offer (November?)

me I just finished my 3rd one...have a 4 one active and will open a 5th one as soon as they send me the re-join offer!...

use the same username with a number in it, so that way, you know at how many accounts you are... stebop1, stebop2, stebop3...

taa455 09-16-03 01:22 PM

12 accounts since December 2002. I have a total of 94 DVDs from them, average price: $7.23

Right now I am averaging about 1 account per month.

Thanks, Columbia House!

twilightdvd 09-16-03 02:13 PM

Are you guys opening all these accounts with the same e-mail address? I just signed up for my first account (discs shipped today) so can I go back to the site and sign up for 5 more without any problems?

That's a great question, and one I'd like to know the answer to as well.

Apparently you can't use the same username?
