The 4/1 worked for me as well.

Is there gonna be a 4/8 update?

I also wish the mods here could change the link in the

Columbia House DVD Club FAQ and in the

The reason the links are to this thread is so that people new to the system can learn what the data miner is all about. If you want a quick way to open bga's site why don't you just bookmark it?

Is there a reason there was no update for this week?

nrose101 04-10-03 08:36 AM

okay. Thanks for the updated. Really appreciate that list you do every week! Thanks alot!

This is *completely* unacceptable. What the hell kind of business are you running, anyway? ;-)

In all seriousness, I just wanted to say that I very much appreciate that you take the time to do this.

ajsands 04-11-03 08:57 AM

Woohoo~!! I didn't want to say anything because I appreciate what bga does, and it's completely voluntary on his part, but every Wednesday I'm jonesin' for the new list. When it wasn't there, I thought I was going to pass out~!

Now excuse me, while I go print out the 50-page list and roll around Indecent Proposal style...

RE: The Garbled file I was getting for the 4/1 update

I was able to download and open the 4/10 update with no problems.

I guess I'll never know what was happening with the 4/1 file. I don't really care either, as long as it's working for me now.

DVDude! 04-11-03 03:32 PM

Just wanted to express my overdue thanks, bga. I make a habit of checking your site every few days to see if there's an update. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS!

DVDude! 04-11-03 10:35 PM

Well, thanks for the effort you took to initially write the program. And your continued effort to keep the files coming. Thanks!

lizard 04-25-03 02:17 PM

Thanks bga.

They finally added one of my favorite westerns that I had requested: Quigley Down Under, 0715102 $14.95. (I have seen it for $9.44 at Wal-mart but it was gone the last time I looked.) Could be a coincidence, but perhaps CH really does pay attention to requests.

nrose101 04-25-03 02:43 PM

They also just added real genius which every account I open I have requested. You are right maybe they do

Manzana 05-01-03 12:10 AM

Bga, I saw all those VHS titles mixed in the spreadsheet. Perhaps you could add a filter to the tool that automatically deletes any items where the 3 letters "VHS" appear together? That way if CH doesn't fix it soon or they do this again in the future they won't show up in the spreadsheet. By the way, I really appreciate the weekly updates.

Qui-Gon John 05-01-03 08:41 AM

Do you think it will be straightened out when you do next weeks run?

gabeon 05-01-03 09:05 AM

I just wanted to express my thanks to BGA for his list that I utilize often. Thanks to this DVDtalk and this forum as well.

I think that's up to Columbia House. I considered changing my script to automatically delete them, but I don't really have the time to deal with it until the week after next.

TimeGuy 05-02-03 02:09 PM

Well now they've added a new VHS section to the bottom of the lefthand side of the page. This could be why the VHS titles are showing up. Who knows why they think we would want to get VHS though. Gotta love CH.

Save it to disk, and then open it, your spreadsheet program should open it automatically. BTW, a new update is available.
Don't know why but my Excel 2000 didn't import it nicely. It had the commas in there and it didn't appear that the data went into cells. I messed around in Excel for 1/2 hour or so and gave up. Instead I imported into Visual Foxpro.

smegger2000 05-25-03 12:40 PM

bump for May 20th list

DonnachaOne 05-28-03 09:58 PM

One can always get that Charlie's Angels SB and trade it for another superbit in the exchange forums...

... not that I'm planning on doing that or anything... ;)

Meatpants 05-29-03 12:04 PM

Speaking of Superbits, shouldn't PunchDrunk Love be available for pre-order? If this is a stupid question or if I get a quick answer I'll come back and delete this post.

DavidH 05-31-03 10:23 PM

I really wish they would get The People Vs. Larry Flynt: SE. I guess I might just have to buy this from DDD.

I think they are waiting to get rid of the original edition before they start sending out the SE like they did with Gremilns. I'm going to wait it out and hopefully they start shipping the SE. The same goes for The Mothman Prophecies: SE.

yukon-cornelius 06-01-03 03:29 AM

bga ... note that "Star Trek IV - enhanced edition" (430603) no longer shows up as an enrollment. But thanks for keeping the script going!

Are you confusing the original Star Trek IV (430603), which is available for enrollment via the website (I just checked), with the newer 2-disc SE (2810208), which is not?

Bill Geiger 06-01-03 11:53 PM

Well, I had both Panic Room & Adapatation (both gone) but what I really wanted was Charlie's Angels in DTS. Not because the movie is the greatest, but because the DTS sound will hopefully sound better than Panic Room & Adaptation (although the latter wasn't really in need of DTS).

And as far as Star Trek IV goes, it is available starting today. Yippie!
