Can you believe this guy needs a part 2?
The Deal: $15 each, sometimes 2 for $25. $15 - $20 on premium 2 disc sets. No tax of course. Next generation system Video games are $30-$50. $30 for new release PSP games $15 isn't the greatest price for a dvd, but in these hard times and for a spur of the moment purchase on the streets of NYC, it's a sweet score that instantly gratifies those seeking a quick dvd fix. Where: Around Fulton & Broadway Look for the street vendor table that resembles a football huddle. When: Your guess is as good as mine. Usually Thursdays and Fridays. Time: Usually 11:00AM - 5:30PM. Best time to go is 11:00 - 11:30AM before the lunch frenzy consumes all the good titles. For more info Check out the first thread: http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/015397.html Some advice: Haggling usually doesn't work, Have exact change, don't ask for a receipt, and don't ask him where he gets the dvds ;) |
is this guy located down the street from century21 department store?

He's there today with many "recent" titles as well as some old favorites:
The Cell, Gone in 60 Seconds, Shaft, X-Men, MI2, U-571, Pitch Black, Shanghi Noon, Jurrasic Park, T2 Ultimate Ed., Fight Club, Mission Impossible, The Rock, assorted James Bond SE and others too numerous to mention. He also had PS2 games for $35. ------------------ "Leave the gun. Take the cannoli." - I pray I'll hear these words on dvd some day (excluding "You've Got Mail", thanks chitowndvd). |
I caught him there this afternoon as well, but he was out of most of the good titles - picked up the Mummy (never got around to getting it till today)
Nice to see he's still around - thought he packed up shop for good! ------------------ "Nice Beaver!" |

For $15 each, which in my opinion isnt a good deal at all, Id rather give some LEGIT business my business...Not someone who is guilty of evading taxes, as I sure this guy doesnt report this money...Also in case it breaks or you have some other problem you can easily return it if you buy at a REAL store....
For the past few months I see all you NYC area DVD talkers creaming in your pants about a lousy deal...I mean honestly, 15 bucks each and too good a deal plus you are giving some shady dude your money....Just my opinion. |
No more Sopranos http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/frown.gif.
Picked up Spinal Tap SE for 10.00 ------------------ "Enjoy the sauce." The Kromaksian Collection: http://www.dvdprofiler.com/mycollection.asp?alias=GG |

FYI we arent saving a dollar or two. more like 5-7 dollars w/tax when comparing to BB. and if ever the disk doesnt work i repurchase it at a place like borders then return it and get store credit for the one i bought from them.
