This has been buggin' me for some time.

As in L.A.X. Bandit or Lax(ative) Bandit?

LOL! Neither! LAX as in Lacrosse. (LAX is the three letter inital for lacrosse.) I'm a huge fan of the sport of lacrosse.
I've been a season ticket holder (since their first season-1992) of the Buffalo Bandits-an indoor team that plays in the National Lacrosse League.
So LAX=Lacrosse and Bandit=Buffalo Bandits.

One of the first websites I went on was a lacrosse website which had a forum. I wanted my ID be something with Bandits lacrosse.
Bandit was taken. A friend of mine was BanditLax so as a joke, I reverse Bandit and Lax and became LaxBandit.
We had a "Non Sports Talk" forum there and via a post about DVDs, I found out about DVD Talk and decided to bring LaxBandit here.
