Amazon CANADA DOTD: Universal Classic Monsters 30-Film - $57.51 US shipped
Decent deal for Canadians too, at $64.99 -- Tuesday, Oct. 13 only -- but thanks to our less-than-favourable exchange rate right now, Americans can pick it up for about $20 less than the cheapest it's ever been on Amazon U.S.:

P.s. $57.51 price was arrived at by pretend-ordering the set to one of my U.S. addresses and converting to U.S. funds.

This is a great set if you want a catch all. I bought it last year and love it.

I found this posted on BD.com and it appears a volume 2 may be coming to BD in the near future for those who are interested:
Some news on this front:
Per HTF:
Universal posted their Q2 report today. You may be interested in some of the on-going projects.
Mastering & Restoration
- Began 4k restoration work on “Ghost of Frankenstein”, “Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman”, “House of Dracula”, “House of Frankenstein”, “Son of Frankenstein” and “The King of Jazz”. These will be completed in Q4

Not that it matters now, since the sale is over, but most Canadian online retailers seem depict NON-bilingual packaging for both this box and the individual sets within it.
As for the potential for a second Blu-ray boxed set, that'd be awesome if Universal had more than just five films on the horizon for 4K restorations, but that suggests we'll might be waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for Volumes 3, 4, maybe even 5 as well. Based on those titles, it seems like a potential Volume 2 would be a Frankenstein collection, which would inevitably recycle the existing Frankenstein Blu-ray yet again. This is Universal, after all; undoubtedly they'll take several years to remaster and release each monster's "collection" then, finally, repackage everything into the Blu-ray equivalent of this DVD set. When that day comes -- what, maybe five or ten years from now? -- I'd definitely consider getting rid of this DVD box and/or the current Blu-ray collection, but frankly, the enjoyment of the lesser sequels is in no way diminished by watching them on DVD, which has been served the majority of us just fine for several years now.
