Be aware that The Princess and the Pirate has a complete reel for which the Technicolor registration is off. It looks like you're watching an anaglyph 3D print it's so bad. They've used the same master for every release and have never gone back to remaster that and fix the error. Why that wasn't corrected before the original release is a real head scratcher. I love this film but it's practically unwatchable due to the horrid transfer.

The Westerner with Gary Cooper, Walter Brennan (who won his third Oscar for this film), Forrest Tucker, Chill Wills, Dana Andrews, and more is a very good western.
I've never seen the Danny Kaye version of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty but would purchase this set just for that one as it sells for more than that with its regular price on Amazon. And that's in spite of the fact that I'm not much of a Danny Kaye fan.
FWIW, that collection is $24 on Amazon. The only review of the set I'd consider (it talks about print quality and transfer, not just the movie) doesn't mention the registration issue on that one reel only saying the image is "soft" so maybe they finally fixed it somewhat?
I own copies of three of the included films and would purchase a copy for $8. At 20% off it'd be a no-brainer as that'd be just over $1 per film.

I picked up the first 2 Downey JR Sherlock Holmes on blu @ $4 ea. I had #1 on dvd, I've never seen #2.
The store closest to me (which is probably the only one I'm going to hit unless someone posts that Puyallup has a ton of stuff) didn't have the 6 pack dvd set. Oh well.

I haven't seen any of these newer ones at the 1 BL in my city that's currently receiving product.

New batch at the Superstore. Blu's were mostly either very weak titles, or titles I hadn't heard of. I bought 1 in blu: In Old Arizona $3.00. Blind buy.
Lots of new dvd's also. Again, a combination of stuff I wouldn't have paid $1.00 for; with a few decent titles overpriced for liquidation at $5.00. There was a Guillermo Del Torro title I wasn't familiar with I would have done a blind buy on at $3, but not at $5. Again 1 blind buy for me on dvd: Cary Grant & Audrey Hepburn is Charade at $3.00

Perhaps this is of interest to someone. I noticed today the 3 Taken films in one case for $5. Also the same for the 3 Alvin & the Chipmunk films. There were a few random $1.88/$2.88 titles in the regular display as well. And since those are likely Black Friday discs put out early, it's possible those $5 sets could be part of that as well.

I found it odd that I never saw a separate $1.88/$2.88 display which is usually the case each year. Aside from the random few titles in the existing display, there were few new deals to be had. I did pick up the Mae West Glamour Collection (5 films) on the clearance side of the rack marked down to $2.50.

I found some 3D I hadn't seen at any BL before, namely Immortals and The Croods. Took me a few stores to find Shrek 2 in 3D but the store I found it in had like 10 of them.

The Shreks I saw a while back said they were both 2d & 3 d on disc. That was not the case with Shrek 2 & 3. They were both 3d only.
