Big Lots Part 11 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Re: Big Lots Part 11 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Today's ad shows more 2/$14 TVonDVD season sets. It looks to be a slightly different selection than they've had, at least for here. Bewitched *color* S1 (not been here before) and a season of King of Queens (all seasons been here) are shown in the ad. Nothing I'm going to get worked up over (already own both) but will take a quick look-see when my wife and I pay 'em a visit later today.

They reorganized the DVD section and *finally* put some of the very old stuff on the old wire rack and marked 'em "Clearance." They had another rack of $3 titles but I was with my wife and didn't look (she had knee replacement surgery Monday and I didn't want to spend too much time in the store). I may swing by after church tomorrow...
**EDIT**
Stopped in... there were a *few* "new to here" DVD titles at $3/each (around 12-15 titles). Nothing spectacular and consisting of titles I either already own or am not interested in owning.
The seasons of Bewitched were those MC ones that they've had for a while so nothing ther there either.
I *did* pick up the only copy of American Dad S3 they had, which was on clearance for $5. The coupon brought it down to $4. It's somewhat of a blind buy. I've seen bits and pieces on occasion but never sat down to watch a full episode. For $4 I'll chance it and if I don't care for it I have a multi-disc case I can use for something else.

Re: Big Lots Part 11 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
I love combining the 20% off with clearance titles. I picked up:
DVDs:
Looney Tunes Super Stars: Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote - $1.20 (yellow sticker, originally $5)
Looney Tunes Super Stars: Tweety & Sylvester - $1.20 (yellow sticker, originally $5)
Red Hill - $0.72 (yellow sticker, originally $3)
The Smurfs: Smurfs to the Rescue - $0.40 (brown sticker, originally $5)
Blu-rays:
The Ides of March - $4 (pink sticker, $5)
Oldboy (2013) - $4 (orange sticker, $5)
Postgrad - $2 (green sticker, originally $5)
I'm pretty sure I already have one of the Looney Tunes DVDs, but I couldn't remember so I'll return it if I do.

If it wasn't for the postage, I'd gladly send you $1.20 ea if you already have them!
Last month a couple local stores had a small clearance section, but there was only junk by the time I saw them.

Visited the Niles, IL store today and if you're a fan of the TV show King of Queens, you would have had a field day there as they had multiple copies of all nine seasons of this show with a few Friends and Breaking Bad seasons in between but that was about it.
They moved the DVD section, putred as it was, right next to the entranceway of that store, so I didn't get anything with the 20% off discount.
Miss those days when they had so much to offer there DVD-wise and now, it's a joke.

Both big lots I went to this week had a sign up for clearance but nothing that matches the codes/sticker combos listed. No big deal really as there was nothing I was really looking for.

Anal thing.
Last year or so I bought it, my copy - the disc is covered in ripples. As in ripples, not swirls. Did you copy come that way? Or like a normal DVD?

>I haven't opened it yet, but what do you mean by ripples?
Just that, waves of bumps.
A normal DVD is flat and mirror like. What I'm talking about is a distortion of that surface.

Bought midnight Summer Dream for $3 to add to the Cagney collection; I hope they don't use Shakespeare language, but they probably will.

My local store had a shopping cart near the front entrance with DVDs/BDs marked down. I was excited to see it, but left empty-handed. Everything was 50% off, but it was mostly $5 titles marked down.
There were a few of the $5 BDs included as well, but nothing I wanted to pull the trigger on.

Some new (at least to me) stuff at my local store. Some TV shows for $5--My Name is Earl S1/S3, Prison Break S3, The Practice: Volume 1 and How I Met Your Mother S3/S4.
I was interested in a few, but thought I'd wait for a coupon before going back to see if they were still there.

I saw all those that Cardsfan111 did, I also recall two Steven Seagal movies, one being Out for Justice. Also two Jesse Stone movies, No Remorse & Night Passage. Rum Diary, Piranha, Beware the Batman: Dark Justice and Puss in Boots (Dreamworks) were there too.

Either $3 or $5. Nearly all of the non-TV show dvd's I do remember were $3, so there's a decent chance it was $3, but I don't specifically recall. Sorry.

Picked up a few things I had been eyeing for awhile but never wanted to pony up for. The Penelope Cruz movie comes with a cookbook.

Just hit the local BL. A FEW clearance titles; nothing 1/2 as good as the Artist @ $2.50
