At slightly more than $9 a season is it too much to pay? If you are a fan of this series go for it. You can drive yourself crazy wondering if you got something for the cheapest price it is ever going to be. The answer is yes, one day somebody somewhere will sell it for $5 a season. Should you wait? What if you do and get it for $5 a season only to find later someone is selling it for $3 a season. Do you then feel you overpaid at $5 a season?

Yeah, but it also has to be a price you think it's worth. ~$10 per season (w/ tax) is OK, but for me it's not worth more than $5-6 a season, a price I'd feel more comfortable to pay.

I feel confident that you will be able to get this series at an even lower price in the future if you wait.
I say this because recently CBS/Paramount has been repackagaing many of their completed series into complete series sets in space-saving cases.(Brady Bunch, Laverne & Shirley, The Odd Couple, Taxi, Cheers, etc.)
It's only a matter of time before Lucy gets the same treatment.
I recently got Gomer Pyle USMC Complete Series Set (another 5 season series) for $30.00, while the bundle is still being offered for $60.00.

I also have The Fugitive on pre-order. Currently, it is $50 at amazon. That's a fantastic price because originally just half a season would cost approx. $25.00

Really good show and anything below ten a season, you're doing just fine on the price, so if you feel it's worth the money, then go for it and enjoy it.

It is all up to the individual's distinct tastes in comedy and her shows are funny, sans her final one in the 1980s.
