Re: Target DVD prices (September 14th - 20th, 2014)
I'm interested in Grimm 3, Arrow 2, Sleepy Hollow 1 and Castle 6 (along with the Castle tie-in Heat HC [Raging Heat this time] they usually carry). Still not impressed with these prices though. I really miss the days when ABC tv shows could be had for under $20 on release week. May or may not pick anything up, partially depending on whether the SH exclusive appears interesting.
Thanks for the info.

Re: Target DVD prices (September 14th - 20th, 2014)
I picked up Sleepy Hollow, though that was a chore. First Target honestly didn't get any (?), the second had already sold out of the blu, but had 3 DVD's left, but hadn't set aside space for them, and clearly they were tired of having to keep going to the back room for all the people asking about it (apparently keeping them at the Electronics register was out of the question).
But I still wanted to check the blu to see if it had better features. Went to three more Target's, two of which were sold out and the third couldn't find the two copies they still had in stock. I finally went to FYE, saw that their blu and DVD had the same special features, was satisfied, and called it a day.

Target has become a huge pain for getting hot, new releases on Tuesday. It's basically a crapshoot finding the exclusive editions and most of the time they have sold out by noon.

I'm lucky that my Target store is located in an area where pretty much only the locals shop there. I am almost always able to get their exlcusives as long as I go the same day.

My store used to have the exclusives on release day. I first became aware of the lag, their exclusive for "Masters Of Sex" S1. What the frack?
I get there today about 10:35 AM, gone; DVD and BD copies. I asked if there were more - nope.
Found out that the store a town away got seven copies. *sigh*
So go there and find them...
This is important.
Their exclusive is in a digipak type packaging. Both copies LOOK THE SAME. You have to check the spine to see what version it is; DVD or BD. This store had them all together. The spot for DVDs was empty.
At first I thought this was all Blu-Rays, no.
So yes, this store got seven copies, two of them are DVDs.

Also important to know.
This comes packed within two sealed cellophane wrappers. Why? Don't know.
The glue used to hold the cardboard backing is that gummy stuff. It's damn near impossible to entirely remove. You're gonna have a mess taking it off. I'm glad I still have my bottle of "Un-Du", adhesive remover to take off the messy glue.
I say this thing is like a digipak, but the discs inside are not in holders - plastic nubs. They are held in place by a flap and a space cut for the disc to slip in. Only one of my discs has scraches, tiny ones. I was lucky. The booklet is part of the packaging, 28 pages long.
