Today I picked up the re-release of "Planet Of The Apes: Legacy Collection" for $14.99.



This isn't just a re-packaging. All the discs have been newly pressed, new label (same content). This puts the discs in a standard DVD case which hold the six of them. I do like new cover.

As I understand this is the correct/desired collection; "Battle For the Planet Of The Apes" is the extended cut. At least I hope so. There is no booklet included, but does come with a slipcase which mirrors the wrapaound.

The re-release comes with a digital theater voucher to see "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes".

Looking at the back cover it reads, for "Battle For The Planet Of The Apes"...
Ha-ha! This is a repackage. Sway.

Now that's got me wondering, which I frequent - what would be the adult title?

The only thing that comes to mind is 'Planet Of The Gapes', no such about astronauts or intelligent, speaking simians. But it would have humans speaking in grunts which is about as much continuity as you can expect. Perhaps I should've kept this to myself.
