Troma 65% Off Sale

I mentioned recently that Troma is dumping inventory..............

Unfortunately it doesn't include Roan; all Roan titles have been removed from the website.

The website says 40% off, but i got an email that says 65%.

"Greetings from Tromaville!

To celebrate Michael Herz's birthday, for 3 days only we are offering 65%
off all DVDs!! (Excluding shipping and handling).

From March 9th-11th head on over to www.tromashop.com to take
advantage of this tromazing birthday celebration! "

As it arrived today, I ASSUME they meant May when they wrote "March"!

Yep, had about 9 titles ready to order til I saw that shipping came to nearly $30, so whittled it down to 3. STILL haven't watched all the 25-cent (plus shipping) discs I got from them back in 1999!

Me too! A bunch are still in the plastic.

All those quarters I'll never get back.

I bought from that quarter sale too, but if I remember right you had to pay shipping for each item, right?

Re: Troma 65% Off Sale

Yeah, with shipping they came out to about 2 bucks each, still an insanely low price back then. Got one of each, have only watched a fraction of them but I opened them all right away- always do that to make sure the right disc is in the case and isn't damaged. (TWICE I've gotten brand-new discs with nothing at all in the case!)

Re: Troma 65% Off Sale

I have never watched a single Troma disc (though I probably own 1/4 of the Roan catalog)

Speaking of which, does anyone kow of a good comparison review between the new VCI Cary Roan edition of White Zombie & The Kino? Beaver didn't review the VCI.

1 reviewer on Amazon claims to prefer the VCI over the Kino. Beaver wasn't all that thrilled with the Kino. I own the Roan DVD.

Re: Troma 65% Off Sale

I have read since making the post 2 above that the Cary Roan/VCI is much better than the Kino. Ordered it in the recent DD sale, but it's backordered (surprise....)
