I don't think they run reruns of this show on t.v. so it's a must buy.

I've been wanting this for years, but it's always been around 80 bucks, even on sale. Not the best price, but with 2 promos applied, I got it for 47.49 + tax. The only thing I don't like is the set has double-sided discs, but you take what you can get.

I did a bit of research before pulling the trigger on this one. Those are supposedly DVD14 discs and *not* DVD18s so at least there should be fewer issues.

What was the second promo?

What are DVD14, DVD18?
I was looking at THE SHIELD set at AMAZON and saw they were selling the series for around $40,but as another format.

This is one of the few shows that I've debated just buying the show digitally and skipping DVD. The DVD set is just far too damn large for my taste and the price has really never come down adequately. 50% off is still over a hundred bucks. I can't picture spending that much cash and having that much shelf space dedicated to this show, fun as it is.

I can get buy both seasons on Amazon Instant Video for less than 40 bucks total. I haven't pulled the trigger, but I'm strongly considering it.

DVD-14 is DS SL+DL - double sided with side 1 dual layer, side 2 single layer.

DVD-18 is DS DL - double sided dual layer - a very problematic format... at least when done by Universal and to a lesser degree by Fox. I'm sure there were others that produced product in that format but I don't believe I own any.

Is this info on the box of a dvd or online when you want to purchase?
It looks like it's best to stay away from these dvds.

Sometimes but without actually looking at some boxes I really couldn't say for sure. Even when there they don't use the code but will say "Dual layer", etc. Online is usually a matter of reading reviews and searching out sites that have this information.

I don't think I'd worry too much about DVD14s. At least I don't recall having any issues with them and can't recall ever reading about issues with those. LOTG is on DVD14s.

Thanks! I don't "facebook" and there's no Dunkin' Donut anywhere close so I didn't really miss anything.

You should consider setting up a dummy account at least, as there are a lot of Facebook only deals.

All 3 of my FB accounts are dummy accounts I use for promos like this. As for Dunkin' Donuts, they suck. Shipley donuts is the way to go! But I'll still take 2 bucks from them

What do you know about THE LITTLE RASCALS boxset the blue box with Froggy in the series? I ask because those dvds are the only ones I ever had problems playing on my old SONY player.

It's a MOD. Guaranteed to have problems on some players, especially if the player is a computer or uses a computer drive as the main mechanism.
