Funny, I've heard very little. Amazon is about it.

Re: CyberMonday
I actually heard very little about "Black Friday" sales this year, very few circulars were delivered by mail this year, unlike in years' past when every store in my town that had a BF sale had a brochure delivered days before. Went in Big Lots that afternoon and they seemed to be not the least bit different than any other day, Walmart didn't seem to have much of a choice in sale dvds, didn't buy one. Unless they had stuff in very limited quantity which I seems dubious, in the past I could find BF dvd bargains almost a week afterwards.

Re: CyberMonday
I can't believe "Cyber Monday" is still hyped as a thing. It's largely meaningless considering retailers have been spreading their sales and promotions from essentially the week of Thanksgiving and will continue to sprinkle a few more sales this week. If you wanted to online shop and get deals, you've had the opportunity to do it for a week now and as far as entertainment media and many electronics go, you could have easily bought them online at any point over that time period. This bizarre marketing promotion based on the fact people used to online shop in their cubicles at work the Monday after Thanksgiving is something I'll never understand. Any sales today will have more or less been on par with Black Friday weekend sales.

Although I agree that the "sales" this year weren't so noteworthy, it also doesn't help that posting here on DVD TALK has diminished to practically nothing compared to what it once was. People have moved elsewhere for the most part and it's taken away a lot of the infectious enthusiasm.
