Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

Better prices than the 50% off sale, I believe, but as they're limiting it to (among other things) films/TV made after 1960, there's less urgency to a purchase.

Just put in my second order this season: Prison Break S1 (Blu) & 2, Futurama 7, Fall of Sam Axe (Blu), and Life of Pi (Blu), all for under $26. Pretty nice.

Any idea how long this will last? Through the week?

Please see my posts here regarding scratched discs that were sent to me in the recent 50% off sale. At least 5 of the discs were obvious customer returns, & 1 freezes repeatedly in my main player.

I have emailed Fox.

Has anyone received any of their order(s) from this sale? Mine still shows "pending" on the site and I've not received *any* communication from them since the order was placed. With the 50% off sale I'd at least received some of the order after 2 weeks.

I received everything I ordered last Friday. They sent an email with a UPS tracking number when it shipped (on the 3rd).

I placed an order on the 27th and received my shipping confirmation & UPS tracking # on Friday evening.

Scheduled delivery is Thursday, 12/12.

It was only last night that the tracking # started returning ANY results. I don't think UPS Ground moves on weekends and it originated in AL so weather could have been a factor. ?

It's my first time doing business with FC. I'm reasonably satisfied.

UPS Ground has been as slow as I have ever seen it this Christmas season. I have one package from Walmart that is due to arrive in 2015 or something.

I'm still waiting for some sort of response on my 2 defective returns. UPS shows Fox received the returns Thursday last week.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

I placed two separate orders on the 29th...both just say processing....sure makes one want to order more often from a site that takes (At least)several weeks for orders to arrive. I ordered for a friend that doesn't like to order online (I know, weird) now I have to explain to them, I have no idea when the dvds will arrive, oh, and by the way, open everything up right away in case the discs are damaged like so many others have reported....

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

Interesting info............. I just called them. They do NOT have most of the actual dvd's on site, & they actually have to order our orders from Fox (i.e. I don't think they are actually Fox). The very nice woman I s/w said my return was accepted, but it would take aprox 2 weeks for "Fox Connect" to get the product back in stock from Fox! And after Fox shipped the dvd's to Fox Connect, Fox Connect will ship them to me.

Doesn't sound very cost effective? She told me to expect aprox 3 weeks before I have the replacements in my hand. At least she was very nice about it.

They are the retail front for Fox's distribution business. In this Christmas season, orders from their retail store accounts get priority over some guy ordering Family Guy on DVD. It's the same way with WBshop, the retail front for Warner's distribution business.

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

In the context of how mediocre this DVD/Blu Ray holiday season has seemed, Fox Connect gets the prize for my best deals. All that's left to come is Burn Notice S7.

Prison Break 1 & 2
Big Trouble in Little China Blu
Romancing the Stone/Jewel Nile Blu
Burn Notice 7
Futurama 7
Fall of Sam Axe
Life of Pi Blu

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

I would agree, their first sale was the best of the year, except that I still believe many of the items were repackaged customer returns. around 1/2 of my discs were significantly scratched & not loose in the packaging.

PhantomStranger 12-11-13 04:31 PM

Re: foxconnect.com BF Sale

These were definitely some of the best prices on media for Black Friday. Most other retailers had the same discs priced a few dollars higher.
