This is a lightning deal on 10/30/2013 @ 5:59 PM EDT or 2:59 PM PDT. Should bring the price of the 90 film set to about $200 . ( List price per Amazon $870)

Good price but this is for more of a casual movie viewer.

Hard to know who this is for. A movie lover has many of the films included. A casual movie viewer probably wouldn't want 90 films. Its something you give as a gift. It would be a really impressive gift. It is not something you would buy for yourself unless you previously only rented or streamed films and now you have decided you would rather own.

I'm thinking this is for someone that only cares about having the feature film on disc and don't really care about commentaries, special features, etc. I agree this is a great gift.

Holy crap! It's $782.98 now! Who would pay that much for dvd's in this day and age? That's almost $9 per movie!

I got this when it first came out at bn.com with a 50 percent coupon. It's good now because it has a lot of out of print titles. But it is kind of unyieldly and a pain in the ass to store and get movies out of.
